Does anyone know Leah's secret?

She said she cut out foods she loved like sweets and fried foods.

She is supposed to write a blog about her weightloss but I don't know when.

@depglass According to Leah, many times now, it's not a secret. She said she started her weight loss plan in January and has given up many of her favorite foods, is working out, and continues to work at it. She does look absolutely fantastic, but I always thought she did.

Takes time, dedication, and facing reality. I know because I have had to lose a few myself over the years.

Of course there are self esteem issues that can stand in the way. That may not be Leah's case at all, I don't know. We all face them, even the "healthiest" amongst us. I personally like myself much better when I am in my own "healthy" weight range. I'm pretty generous with myself but making better lifestyle choices are always a plus for me.

And of course I am very fortunate to be who and where I am in this moment in time. Right here, right now, I am extraordinarily fortunate. I thank myself for some of that. I am the steward of my own ship. Yes, I was not born without tools. I was also gifted with a brain and I have learned to use those tools.

As another poster stated, Leah gave up sweets and fried foods. That's common sense for losing weight. That and eat fresh healthy foods and curb your appetite. There really is no secret to losing weight.

I don't think there is any secret to weight loss. You just need to burn more calories than you take it. People make it far too complicated. It's not rocket science.

I do agree, @JJsMom.

Sometimes there are hormonal impediments but I find, they are never insurmountable if the true cause is figured out and the plan gets stuck with, if a plan is necessary. Takes time and patience.

This is exactly why the "diet and weightloss" business is a multi billion dollar industry--people are convinced that there's some magic bullet that will get them the results they seek while maintaining their unhealthy lifestyle. When people tell them to make good food choices and move more they still want to know the "secret" and are willing to pay for it.

Secret? There's no secret to weight loss; never was and never will be. It's work, you put in the work and you lose the weight. Obviously she started a healthy eating program. Her weight loss is dramatic so I'm guessing high protein, low carb and she works out very hard.

I think the speculation continues because with most weight losses there's usually a plateau. She looks slimmer everytime she's on. She looked much smaller than Jackie the model who is a size large. I commend her because she looks stunning and weight loss is very hard. Leah was the only person who looked good in today's TSV.

@bootsanne, I think part of the reason Leah looks smaller is because she seems to be wearing clothing that fits her better now. The other day she was in a medium instead of a large and she looked fantastic. The larges she had been wearing were hanging on her and I think made her look bigger.

I remember in the 70s Brooke Shields said "if it tastes good, spit it out"

me personally, I eat 1 meal a day. I've lost 20 pounds (put some back on & losing again) This works for me no matter how much my female family members tell me it's not good for me.

She looked absolutely beautiful this morning in that TSV sweater....fit her so perfectly. I don't know her secrets but whatever all she is doing it is working for her.
