Here are two updated Fair Isle patterns.

Have you seen any others? These are from 1901, at Nordstrom.

I like both of them. I don't wear turtlenecks but I really like the look of one.

I prefer the 2nd one, but I don't like the neck. Too high for me.

Im wearing a Fair Isle sweater today from Talbots. It is ivory ,and from the top of the bust, to the top of the hip, there is Fair Isle knitting ,in shades of black and ivory with a bit of metallic yarn . The neck is tipped in black as is the edge of the sleeves

I got rave reviews this morning, from the waitresses at our favorite eatery...The sweaters you have pictured are not colors I like. Nor, do I like an entire sweater ,with Fair Isle knitting

I love the looks of Fair Isle. As a knitter - I just love using that technique and have made lots of Fair Isle pieces.

I just don't like wearing them! Not at all my style. I make them and end up putting in the Goodwill bag.

I love both those sweaters, they bring back memories. I haven't worn Fair Isle sweaters since high school.

Both are nice. I like the first one best because it is a v-neck. Designs like the second one where patterns or color go across the shoulder and top of a garment make my shoulders look too broad.

OMGosh.........Thanks for the reminder (to look/purchase another one).

I wore (similar to) photo #2 for years and years to almost shreds and then finally gave it to my cat (at that time).

I love, love both, especially #1.

I'm going to make it a point to purchase another Fair Isle sweater!

Same goes for Argyle pattern. (Vertical diamond-shaped pattern) I haven't purchased an Argyle sweater in many years and have always loved them.

I loved the 2nd one and they had it in petite sizes so it's on the way! I'll have to see how that style looks on my shoulders, though. Raglan sleeves are a definite no for me, but I think this will work. It might actually make my shoulders look more substantial.
