Tight pants - comfortable ?

Those tight pants that it seems everyone is wearing, they seem to cut right into the buttocks. Isn’t that very uncomfortable? I am past the age to wear such tight clothing. What do women really feel about skin tight clothing on the lower end?

They're comfortable if they have stretch to them.

I think that's what the stretch is for, so they look snug, but really are not snug.

Are you referring to Women with Control? I wear those and they are comfortable. I always wear a long shirt over the backside though.

I don't wear high heels often. I don't understand the statement "why do you think 'they' wear them"?

I'm one of the "they" people when it comes to tight pants, which means different things to different people. I refer to my pants as fitted, and I really dislike loose, baggy bottoms.

Fitted pants can be comfortable especially if they have stretch. The Dutchess of York wears leggings at times, and she looks great. In general, I have no opinion on what women wear on their "lower end".

@Nicecupoftea, I prefer tight-fitting jeans and leggings and find them very comfortable.

If you normally go commando, suggest that you wear panties when wearing "tight" pants.

I'm sure most women today have no idea who Peg Bundy was. So they're sure not trying to emulate her. I know who she is, and I'm not, either.

Some of us wear what we like and it has nothing to do with anyone on tv, past or present.

@september High heels and tight pants are worn to look "hot" or stylish or whatever. But they are worn for looks. Not for comfort.

In my world, fitted pants (what some call "tight") are worn for an active lifestyle...as long as they have that stretch. Has nothing at all to do with looking "hot".

@Sooner The OP didn't mention high heels, she asked only about tight pants. Then the second poster brought up high heels. So the original question wasn't about "high heels and tight pants." I'm petite and look sooo much better in snug pants. Wider styles make me look shorter and wider, even at a size 4-6. I'm 69 and always wear a longer top with my skinny pants. I look more "Linea Lady" than Peg Bundy, but you'll have to trust me on that lol.

Leggings is one thing, but these skinny jeans are ugly IMO. Just another designer's mistake.

There's a big difference between well-fitting, non-baggy pants and those that are tight. Do you want to look stylish and chic or over-exposed and cheap?
