Talbots - Whoohoo! Finally the 40% off one item (and probably more....)

So I got a post card yesterday (I think maybe the same notifce @gidgetgh got) about 30% off all tops. But the other side of the post card I got entitles me to 40% off one regular priced item (it has a bar code for that) from 10/4 thru 10/8.

I'm expecting the usual though, starting tomorrow on the 4th - to get an email about it which will also have the bar code and which I can keep using as long as I keep printing off emails.

Whooohooo! I have a wish list for this coupon - I expected it for Labor Day weekend but instead it's for Columbus Day weekend! Better late than never! Don't forget, you can use it once in-store and once online, even if they don't send the email.

I got the card yesterday, but shredded it. I didn’t see the 40% on the back. But they’ll send an email.

I don't know that I’ll use it though. Nothing is really on my radar right now.

I may get the London scene tote, among other things. I haven't yet worn my London scene blouse, so I'll re-buy it at the 40% off because I got 25% off when I bought it earlier.

@Pearlee- we were out to lunch today and as we were leaving the restaurant, a woman came in, carrying the London tote. I stopped in my tracks and said “nice Talbots tote” to her. She got a kick out of the fact that I’d recognized it.

@cherry None left - ANYwhere in the country. I went to my favorite (and usual) T's yesterday and the manager spent quite a bit of time on the phone calling every conceiveable store where there could be one in all the regions in the country that have T's. The computer indicated that a few stores have it, but none did. It took almost half an hour. I said that I wish T's had had the 40% off coupon for Labor Day and the manager told me that that coupon had been passed over by T's twice since it was supposed to appear. She felt bad for me because she knew I'd been waiting to use that coupon on the tote.

She told me two things: (1) that she will send an email to T's customer service (from her, a store manager) asking if they can find one anywhere for her customer (that's me) and (2) that T's is still getting in London merchandise and there's a possibility - although slight - that the tote will be restocked. She said the ones at her store blew out and that she was aware that they blew out of all the other T stores in my city too, so the tote was extremely popular, even at the higher price (although there have been various other discounts offered, like the 25% off, etc.)

Waaaaah - I'm so disappointed!

I did a great job tracking down a pair of jeggings last year. Finally found them in Phoenix. I’d be glad to help search.

@gidgetgh They looked up the item number for me at the store before they started searching the stores for it and then calling the ones the computer said had it (none of them did). I was back at the store today and the same manager had already sent the email to corporate CS.

@gidgetgh I got the button-back striped terry top (the exact on-site title), a T by Talbots, in the berry choice. The sage choice wasn't in any of our stores but I'd have gotten the berry anyway (berry is the best color on me with my coloring and complexion). It is sooooo cute in person - the buttons on the back make it funky and youthful. It's pretty heavy material, good for the chillier weather if we ever do get that in the midwest (coming this week supposedly). The photos on the site show the button back, but doesn't do it justice - it's much cuter in person and I love, love, love the back! The stripes are a space dye - it has a lot of depth and texture. Love this top!

I got it with the 40% off (price online is the 30% off tops).
