DG2 Suddenly Slim TSV - Any Reviews?

I received about a week ago but never took them out of the package until yesterday. The fit on these is perfect. I just went and checked reviews and they are not good. 2.4 stars out of 110 reviews. This is a perfect example of why I pay little to no attention to reviews. In this case, the reviews may persuade me to pass and I'd be missing on a great pair of jeggings.

You do have to shimmy to get into them. The wide waistband doesn't have give to it. These remind me of the D&C jeans (I think the How Slimming) that got a lot of bad reviews because you have to shimmy into them.

The hosts and the rep. specifically said not to size down, that in this particular pair of jeans you needed to stick with your normal size. I think a lot of people sized down anyhow and now can't get them up. I also think a lot of people think they should pull right on and then there are probably those who aren't really honest about their size. LOL I went with my normal size and they are perfect. The material is soft and even though they are jeggings, they aren't tight at all.

Yes they do have a chemical smell to them like a lot of dark jeans have now. Washing them should take care of that like it always has. I am seriously considering getting these in black. I wish she'd do a straight leg version of these.

I ordered 2 pair, gray and dark indigo. Looking at them I knew you'd have to shake, rattle & roll to get into them, but I ordered my regular size and they fit great. They still have some stretch to them, especially in the legs. The tags tell you to wash before wear so that's what I did. I've ignored that in the past and don't anymore after the dye on another brand started rubbing off on my legs. I have two other pairs of DG jeans, the comfort stretch boot cut, and the host said to size down on those. I didn't because I'm a 3X with a belly and large thighs and the fit on those was perfect as well.

@Cumbercookie13, I'm glad you like them. I didn't even see the tag that said to wash first because I definitely do that anyhow. I'm not really sure how much that tummy panel really slims, I'm just glad I like these and they fit.

Did you see the TTV on Evine for the Nygard jeans? I'm tempted to try the straight fit in those too.

I'm glad you like them. I wasn't tempted, they seemed like those How Slimming jeans. A lot of jeans and pants have that panel now.

I bought 4 pair in one size and 1 pair in the next size up. The larger ones fit great. The smaller ones are nice once I break nails and leave scratch marks on myself pulling them up. I think I will return the smaller ones. One other thing I didn't like about this latest TS is the pocket placement. I guess because that slimming band is so tall, the pockets can't start at the normal spot and mine ended up being WAY too low. They were half on my rear and half on my leg. I do love her brand so I'm not doing what some of the angry reviewers were saying and abandoning the brand altogether. I have a lot of nice items from DG2.

I ordered two pair in PXS. Yeah, it was tough but I did get them up. It just seemed like it would be so much work I’d probably not wear them. They did look perfect after I got them up but still didn’t seem worth it. Dang, I didn’t notice the pockets but I’ll be wearing longer tops that will hopefully cover. Will have to look carefully

Sent them back and reordered the grey in the PS. That’s a nice deep shade. That’s the shade of grey I like.

I love this pull on style with the wide band. These are made for my body so trying to collect as many as possible before they decide to not make them anymore.

I also need them nice and snug and high to make sure they don’t move as I have a bit of a sway back and anything with a narrow waistband and even mid rise will slide down a bit on me and am constantly pulling them up no matter how snug the waist.

Anyway, the legs were great but really since I had work too hard to get them up figured I needed to go up 1 size. As long as they don’t bag out they should work. Keeping fingers crossed.

I find the sizing on DG jeans to be all over the place. Got tired of buying and returning, buying and returning. I'll stick to QVC brands.

@Lipstickdiva I did see the Nygard jeans but didn't buy. I have a lot of new jeans I purchased for fall and winter, and I got two pair from my mom so I'm good!

Do not buy any DG2 jeans in black!! The stink can never be washed out in those. I've had no trouble with the other colors but never buy black.

To be fair they vacillated a lot on whether or not to size down! I watched a couple of presentations and I came away with don't size down but if you only watched one I could see where somebody would size down.

@Cumbercookie13, I ended up passing. By the time I flipped Evine back on last night, they were presenting the jeans but my size was gone anyhow.

@santorini, I did notice the pocket placement. Mine weren't half on my rear and half on my leg but they were low. I also noticed the half and half thing on some of the models, which was another thing that gave me pause. Since these are the type of jeans I would only wear a slightly longer or longer top with, I am okay. During one presentation I saw Shivan was doing the front tuck and back of her top long and it looked horrible. The waistband of these jeans doesn't lend itself to being on display. LOL

I bought three tall small and three tall medium in the DG twos. I wear a retail size 10 and a DG28 tall. In the small tall I bought black indigo and chambray in the medium I bought the chambray the indigo and the gray. The medium tall gray and indigo fit perfectly the small chambray fit perfectly. I always find in DG two and Iman that anytime you buy the darker colors they run an entire size smaller. I love the 360 compression WWC here on QVC also does the prime stretch 360 compression tummy control jean Again being a retail size 10 in the women with control I wear a small tall I carry all my weight in my stomach. . I hope that helps.
