Pantyhose are back in style. Yes!

I for one I am glad pantyhose and nylons are back in style this Fall/Winter. Even though I didn't care what women thought of me wearing them as often as I did. Anyone with a sense of style knows how to wear hosiery to her advantage. Look pantyhose should not be worn in the summer but come Fall/Wnter there's nothing uglier than white pale nasty looking legs. I'm 32 and have worn nylons for my entire life. Not ashamed to admit either. Such an underrated fashion accessory in the Fall. These are not your grandma's pantyhose so find a brand that flatters you and have fun dressing up.

I like them, too, but the good ones are sooooo expensive. Sadly, nylon hose just don’t last. I tend to stick with black tights.

I consider opaque tights pantyhose and wear those all winter. I would never wear a dress without some kind of hose, you would have to have pretty flawless legs to get away without hose under a dress.

I love the way opaque pantyhose make my legs look. Same for opaque tights. "They" say Duchess Kate made them popular again. Bare legs or hose, it's a personal choice. Me, I don't like self tanner.

I live in Fl. so I do not wear pantyhose but my legs are pretty tanned.

Pantyhose and tights do much more than help flatter the shape of legs. They provide a lean appearance under a skirt or dress that is necessary. With dress slacks, the Spanx work if I have sandals on; hose if I have heals on. May be slim and trim, but I'm no longer 50 and firm as when working, a wife and mom!

When I need to wear pantyhose, I wear Hanes Silk Reflections. I highly recommend these to anyone wanting comfort. These pantyhose are definitely not the ones that were worn in the 1980s and 90s. They are so comfortable even in 90 degree weather. They are also very affordable. I normally pay $9. for a pair.

I wear panty hose, mainly because I don't like the look of my legs. They aren't 'perfect' and I'm not a fan of self-tanners.

I've always wondered what and how exactly makes the skin turn tan? How does that work?

I guess I just don’t worry about whether my legs are “flawless.” They’re not, but they are what they are (I have a horrible sock tan, too, from daily running/walking) and I just go from there!

@jonbon,so that's what it's called. I bet mine's worse.

I switched a few months ago to capri/crop leggings for my exercise walking. I now have a strip of tan around each leg between the end of the leggings and the beginning of my socks.

It's truly a lovely look when I wear my regular capris when I go out. It looks as if I don't know how to bathe.

Oh wow! Thanks for the throwback!! These were my go-to hose for that event or special nite out.

I don't like the bare legged look, either so I have stashed a few pair in a lingerie drawer. The OP has a great tip, find a brand/style you love. I need to do that again.

I thought I anwered this one. So here goes again. I wear pantyhose for two reasons. One is makes my legs look better and my tummy gets pushed in and more streamlined.

Back in the day, I wore pantyhose & tights in a variety of colors and weaves to go with my mini skirts and hot pants. Now I never wear any of the above. Always bare legged in the warmer months & knee high socks in the cooler ones.

No, I don't have flawless legs, but I do have two and they work just fine. My slacks and jeans do the job of cover up.
