This Color

I don't know what you would call this color. To me it's not seafoam, not aqua, not green or blue really. But I love it.

Would change a few things about the dress. It's Giorgio Armani. Naomi Watts

In 1980 while pregnant wore a beautiful silk blouse the shade was the same.

Many times over the years remember and wish I had saved it so pretty.

Beautiful dress and a beautiful color - seems more of pale blue/gray to me. I wouldn't change a thing with the dress, but I sure would change the shoes! I'm sure it's just me, but I'd never wear tennis shoes with such a gorgeous dress (shopping or not)!

Its a light blue with a hint of gray/black thrown in, but to me its a little too long

Lovely color. It's blue with a touch of gray. It's great on redheads and spring complections with their yellow undertones.

Unfortunately, it would put circles under my eyes! I'm a winter.

It almost look like it's between a mint green and sage...I like it but I would want a different sleeve length!

I disagree.

This color is a Summer color...cool/grey/silver undertones.

I think it is a summer color ,soft and muted, my palate. Spring is light/ bright .I think, much stronger colors

@ECBG If it's not too much trouble, would you be able to explain to me what a winter, summer, fall and spring are? I've never known what I am. Frankly, I don't even know if I look good in "cool" tones or "warm" tones, because I'm not really clear on that either. My skin tone is light to medium and my eyes and hair are both brown. In my opinion, I look best in rich jewel tones as opposed to colors like coral, peach or yellow.

I'm not crazy about the color of this dress. It looks washed out to me. And the dress itself I don't like at all. The sneakers look silly with it.

It sounds as if you are a winter. Winters do look best in rich jewel tones. It's about what you look "best" in, rather than what might look OK.

You probably look better in silver jewelry than gold.

The original Color Me Beautiful book still has decent information, and there have been later editions and variations on the theme. The middle book also talks about taking some flattering colors from other "seasons."

Thank you for your reply @GingerPeach. I appreciate your input and will look into those books. Funny you should mention the jewelry. I don't know that I look better in silver, but I do prefer it to gold and wear it more often.
