I am looking for some suggestions for clothing lines designed for travel that are available in Plus size. Chico's has their Traveler line and Coldwater Creek has Destinations but the choices are limited in color and available pieces. I would like that acetate/spandex blend like the citiknits fabrics that are lightweight and that you can roll in a ball.

Have you tried Travel Smith's Voyager line? It's poly/spandex rather than acetate spandex. Very nice fabric - and it looks like it comes in plus sizes. I've never been disappointed with anything from Travel Smith.

For pants - consider Susan Graver's lustra knit. They are a nylon/spandex blend.

These days - there are a lot of lightweight knit fabrics that travel well.

I was also going to suggest TravelSmith also.....SG's liquid knit is pretty easy to pack and wear without any ironing; I have several of her tops and because of the many colors available, it is easy to change up the look of a black or dark Travelers, etc. pants or skirt with them.

Steinmart also carries a line called Traveler or something similar; it used to have the acetate/spandex but now I think it is poly...but I have purchased two pairs of the pants and like them very much. I am not plus sized but they usually carry the same in all size ranges at Steinmart; hope you have one in your area.

Enjoy your trip!

I find "travel lines" like Travelsmith to be quite pricey for what they are. Why not try some of the wrinke-resistant fabrics like HSN's Slinky line or other easy-care knits? They should pack easily, resist wrinkles, and wash and wear with ease.

I took some Logo black and dark gray tops and jackets that I could mix and match with other things. They are light weight and easy to pack when you roll them. The layering thing really worked for me because the temperature variation was great for our trip.

Susan Graver's things were too heavy to pack as I wanted to keep the weight down on my suitcase.

I have a black skirt made of slinky fabric that I love- it's by Briggs and I found it at Kohl's. Lightweight, too but not too sheer as some of those materials can be. I remember they had plus sizes at the store. Also had coordinating tops, slacks in the same fabric.

Slinky Knit is very thin, cheap fabric. Love it or hate it, SG's liquid knit does not wrinkle, takes up little room in a suitcase, is easily rinsed out & dries quickly, layers well. I love it for travel.
