Personally, I toss ALL my Slinky in the washer on hot water , regular wash. Then in the dryer on Polyester setting, hang up as soon as they come out of the dryer. They never shrink , or pill or fade. I have 3 pair of the pants - mine are the poly, acetate blend that drapes so nicely over the body.

Slinky Brand Pants: Question

I just received from HSN the Slinky Brand Cropped Knit Skinny Pants. I noticed that the tag indicates hand wash/dry flat. I know it's been awhile since I've purchased Slinky, but I sure don't remember hand washing the shirts I had. I'm wondering if those of you who have this brand wash them on a Delicate cycle - they're a poly/span blend. BTW - these pants (612-281) are terrific - so lightweight and comfortable, and a perfect fit. I'm 5'4", so they're an ankle pant on me, and that's fine. It looks like the only problem is that the skinny pants sell out fast. TIA for washing recommendations.

I don't hand wash Slinky or any other item. Yes, I'll use a delicate cycle and lay flat to dry. I try not to put anything that has spandex in the dryer. Have had no problems.

I have a couple of Slinky pants but I only buy if they have pockets and not all of them do.

I’ve never washed a single piece by hand.

I don’t have a washer/dryer and the machines I use don’t give me many options. My Slinky gets washed on a permapress cycle. Thinks are hung to dry. They always come out perfect. I wash almost everything on cold.

I've always put mine in the washing machine but hang to dry. I hate hand-washing! LOL recently I threw a couple in the dryer to see how they held up, rayon span blends, and they were fine too

Edited to add that like @willdob3 I'm at the mercy of the machines in my condo! LOL

Thanks to all....you confirmed my thinking that there's no reason to hand wash. Appreciate your comments!

Is the HSN slinky brand basically the same type of material that Susan Graver uses with her liquid knit?

This is why I never dry my bras in the dryer.
