I've got a couple that are short & they hit at my waist. I like them but it is easier to make an outfit with a cardigan that is just a few inches longer. With shorter ones I always make sure the top I wear under the jacket & my slacks are the same color for a longer, leaner look. I don't like breaking up the look with different colors and/or contrasting hems of tops sticking out.

So far all of the new jackets I have seen on QVC from Issac, Dennis, Joan and others have been short jackets. They all seem to hit at the widest part of the hips. I'm fairly tall and pear shaped and this style looks awful on me. I seem to be left out of buying any new spring jackets if everyone is doing the same variation of jacket. I need a longer jacket that reaches below the hips. They don't even look good on any of the fuller figure models like Jackie or Maria. Where is the variety?

I'm actually petite (5'2"), but I have a longer torso, so these 24" (some are shorter in xxs, I think) really look dumb on me, too! It's like toddler clothing. I don't need a duster (lol), but 25.5 or 26" isn't all THAT long, is it?

Oh, and the thing that really irritates me is how the length depends on the size you order. I'm an xxs (34A/size 2), but that doesn't mean I don't still need a little length. I think that is so bizarre about the Q. You don't go in Macy's and see jackets on a rack get progressively longer or shorter based on the size.

I'm not very tall (5'4"), and I don't like them. I like a longer, leaner look. I only see these very short jackets on QVC and at Coldwater Creek.

Even the jackets in fitness wear are being cut longer these days (at Lulelemon and Athleta), because these styles look better on everyone.

QVC has had too many of these short jackets on lately. A couple have been TSVs recently. I'm tall, so they're no good for me anyway, but they even make a lot of the hosts look ridiculous. It cuts them off at the widest part and is very unflattering. LOL, then there's the look of the longer top hanging out under the short/crop jacket which I also dislike.

I'm short and short-waisted. The shorter jackets are the only ones I can wear. It would be great, however, if there were a variety of lengths offered by the various designers so that we all could find something flattering.

I love many of the Linea jackets but i can't wear them. I've bought so many and either returned or donated them.

I'm not a fan of short jackets either but what really turns me off is a short jacket with 3/4 sleeves. If I want to push the sleeves up, I will, but I don't want the decision made for me. This type of jacket or blazer looks like it shrunk and you're wearing it anyway. Not a good look in my opinion.

Wow... thanks to all of you for the kind replies and support. I do appreciate that shorter jackets work better for some women who have the shape/size to carry them off. What annoys me is the lack of variety and choice. It's like QVC says... this season only short jackets... and that is all you see. Some of the hosts and fuller figure models look stuffed into these jackets and look silly. Others have the long tunics hanging out and while this may be okay for casual wear, it's not appropriate for my office. And I definitely agree about the sleeves. I like the choice of a turn-back cuff instead of all the 3/4 sleeves. I think it all comes down to cost. Less material = less cost.

Joan had a jacket that I loved last year. I think it was 27-28 inches long. I bought 2 for me and 1 for my sister who also loved it. I guess I will have to trek out to the mall or shop other on line sites for what I need that suits my shape.

WinterGirl
