Wearing glasses & earring size

Since I now wear glasses full-time (started in middle age), I have developed a strong dislike of wearing earrings unless they’re very small. There is something about wearing dangling earrings and glasses that just looks too busy to me. Anyone else feel this way? Just curious.....

I wear the same earrings I've always worn. It never occured to me that glasses made a difference.

I wear glasses full time too and the only earrings I wear are studs. It’s my personal preference.

I feel the exact same way. I only wear very small earrings because I don't like the look of bold earrings with glasses. Sometimes I will wear a larger hoop (less than 2", but large for me) but always thin.

Sometimes I will see women with really short hair, glasses, and big dangle earrings. Triple whammy. Seldom looks good.

I wear glasses and have a very short hair cut, I wear all shapes and sizes of earrings, just not shoulder dusters.I don't believe in limiting myself, I'm comfortable wearing what pleases me.

I only wear glasses when my eyes are open. I only wear studs or simple hoops. I also have a fairly fussy should length hairstyle. If I had a cute little pixie cut, I’d probably be all about some fun earrings.

Omg...that made me laugh out loud. If you like small earrings now, that's fine. But the idea that a woman's eye glasses should determine the size of earrings is funny. I wear whatever earrings I want to wear that day and I put my glasses on and go about my business.

I've worn glasses almost my entire life. I also wear hearing aids, and have short hair cut around my ears. (can't stand to have hair brush against my ears)

I almost always wear small hoops (about 1.5") or studs. I do have a couple of pairs of very small lever back dangle earrings that I will wear occasionally.

Larger dangles just aren't my style.

ETA: I should have included that I have really small earlobes ... and can't handle any earrings that are heavy because of the position of the piercing..

I think wearing glasses and dangling earrings depends on the length of a woman's neck. I have a short neck - and wear leverbacks, gold hoops up to 1-1/2", and studs. Women with long necks can wear big, bold earrings - with glasses. Wear whatever makes u comfortable.

I wear a hoop earring most of the time and wear glasses from the time I get up until I go to bed. I don't think it looks to busy at all. I don't think anyone really notices glasses unless they are really different. But people notice earrings and other jewelry. It is just a matter of personal preference for each individual and what they are comfortable with. I personally don't care for the look of a large necklace, dangling earrings and bracelets stacked up at the same time. This is just an example of different preferences.

Same here. This never even crossed my mind. My glasses are frameless anyway, & I don't wear anything larger than 1" hoop (my everyday go-to earrings). I've never looked at anyone wearing both & though anything about it.

@ALRATIBA Glasses (on & off all day), hearing aids, too and short pixie cut after noon today. I’ve always worn just diamond studs, large pearl studs or very thin 1 1/4” hoops. I think it depends on your personal comfort level, but also on your glasses frames. Mine are black plastic frames (not huge like SK sometimes sports), but noticeable. I suppose if you wear a thin wire frame, you’d have more earring options.

I wear glasses and whatever earring size I want, never gave it any thought and I think it's a personal decision. As a matter of fact I have recieved many compliments on my earrings while I was wearing my glasses so this is not on my list of things to worry about.

I think it depends on the style of glasses. I always get the ones without frames that are attached to the lens. They are a quieter style and they don't compete with earrings

I wear mostly leverbacks. That way I don't lose them and they aren't so heavy they stretch out the ear holes. So my glasses dont conflict at all, in my mind, anyway.

I have a pixie cut and just yesterday ordered flip flop earrings. My earring wardrobe is quite plentiful. So much fun.

PS - I wear glasses. Has never been an issue for me.

I have always worn glasses and sometimes contacs. I wear earrings of all sizes depending on my mood and outfit. It's just a matter of personal preference.
