Grown men walking around stores in football jerseys

Not a fan of the trend of men wearing uniforms and jerseys in the shopping malls. I remember the day when men wore suits and hats even to a ball game, Everything is getting very sloppy these days.

I don't like to see anyone look sloppy male or female. I don't have a problem with men wearing jerseys especially to the mall!

Wearing a jersey in a shopping mall?? I have 5 grown sons, and on occasion, they do wear a team jersey in public....with jeans. They look perfectly respectable. The only time that I see men wear suits to a game is if they're in a private box...and even then, not very often.

Careful, hon', you sound very old. Men stopped wearing hats around 1963, because JFK didn't wear them.

nanciJ, I'm referring to the 1950s and 60s. I just don't like the trend to "casual". I think we have taken it to an extreme.

Super Bowl is one day a year, it is a very American sporting event, and those who don't like it, just like Christmas, need to find other things to do on this day. I don't watch. My family does. God bless them if they want to wear a jersey instead of pants showing their buttock cracks out in the streets.

I have not seen men wearing jerseys, but what I have seen and what I do not like or understand is the pajama craze. At first I noticed the college age kids and we do live in a college town, but now it is all ages and they look quite literally as if they just rolled out of the bed and headed straight to Wal-Mart.

Recently, contrary to some opinions here at QVC fashion forum, there have been shootings in malls, so let's hope there are no shootings. Usually it is not men wearing jerseys who are shooting other people or knocking them down.

Reever....My husband wears suits 5 days a week, but when we go to a game....he doesn't wear a suit. I remember the 50's and 60's, too. I don't like "sloppy", but we certainly appreciate casual dress.

I don't expect to see suits and ties, but sloppy, yes, things have gotten pretty sloppy. Then again, I don't think a middle aged woman in a football jersey and leggings is doing herself any favors either... My pet peeve is the now mandatory fixture of some kind of sports cap worn primarily by men. It was a cute look ten years ago. Now, not so much.

Dont lump us all into that ""socks with sandals"" thing. I live in seattle and I dont do that and neither does anyone I know. I think its the stupidest thing ive ever seen in my life.

I haven't seen men in suits at a ball game since the 1960's. Are you living in a time warp? LOL

People do not get dressed up any more..for anything. Heck I have been to funerals where people were wearing t shirts and jeans..I have eaten in restaurants where people are wearing the same clothes they went to work in ...all dirty and smelly..and I am talking places like Outback...not a diner or the Waffle House.

As long as people are clean and have their private bits covered I don't give a fig newton what they wear! As for men wearing suits and ties to baseball games, it's been at least 60 years since they did that. Probably longer. Times change. BTW, women don't wear bustles any more either!
