https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/03/fashion/cameron-silver-wardrobe-sale.html

The instagram wardrobe means that a lot of fashion influencers wear a lot of outrageous clothes and showcase what they wear on social media, especially instagram. They usually only wear the items one time. So what happens when they end up accumulating a ton of clothes that they don't want or wear anymore? Why they do a closet declutter and sell their stuff. There's a fun NYT article about fashion maven and social media influencer (and QVC vendor rep for the H by Halston clothes) Cameron Silver and his closet cleanse -- almost turning 50 was his impetus to downsize his luxury wardrobe.

Well I can understand that and I think a lot of us can even if we aren't dressing for the camera or wearing luxury brands. Our lives change over time and we don't want to be burdened by a bunch of stuff.
