QVC size chart

Has anyone noticed it's the same size chart for every brand? So misleading. Some brands run smaller (Isaac Mizrahi) or larger (Susan Graver) than others.

@FranandZoe. Are you aware of what we call the "click here" measurements? Go to the item description and at the end of the text it directs you to click for specific measurements. These are for the garment you are considering. The measurements to which you refer are very general and pretty much useless for a good fit. Measure a well-fitting garment from your closet and match those to the new garment.

Like Kachina I always go to the "click here" to see each individual garment's measurements and they do vary. It's one of the things that I really like a lot about the Q. Most other sites only offer generic size charts not specific to each garment.

ive learned to look carefully at the details of the garment on the models, where it hits the models, how loose it is around the torso, the width if the sleeves, how big the armhole is for sleeveless. You have to shop carefully because returns are costly and disappointing.

It's the same QVC size chart a hold over from when there was standard sizing for QVC clothing. That was years ago. While I agree that some brands are more fitted than other brands, the sizing really isn't much different. We're supposed to know our real measurements and as adults, we know how we want our clothing to fit. We should know (as I do) that if I use the size chart and it says that I wear a L in IM pants; I should go up to XL because the pants are tight on the models and they said "skinny pants" 25 times during the presentation and my thighs don't do "skinnny". If we want clothes that fit, we really do have to put thought into it now. We cannot rely only on size charts. QVC has grown and there are too many clothing lines to rely only on the size charts. To me, it's no different than trying on clothes in a brick&mortar store. Sure the top might say it's a size 14 but I'm STILL going to take into the dressing room because I know that the US does not have standard sizing. That "14 might fit like a 12 or it might fit like a 16. I have one friend, I've known her for 25 years and she's a brilliant woman. She's an HSN shopper but she cannot shop. She couldn't get the sizes or colors or styles right. She even got "the letter" because she returned so much stuff. So, I am now her "personal shopper" because I know what she needs and likes far better than she does. I can judge what will fit and what won't. What will look good on her and what won't. I enjoy it because I like shopping and I get to spend her money.

If there are no click here measurements posted, I don't order. Sometimes with new items, it gets added later. Definitely don't use the size chart, it's no help.
