If she could get plastic surgery to fix it I am sure she would have had it done by now.

She is actually 80- My mother will be 79 and she stands perfectly straight and still travels all over the world w/ my father- Maybe she is having difficulty w/ a hip, etc., We shouldn't speculate!

I love Joan Rivers and don't care that she is bent over. She may have osteoarthritis. In any case, I don't give a hoot. I just got her OTO - beautiful and inexpensive set of leverbacks.

At 80, she probably has some issues. Could be osteoporosis and just looks like she is bent. Either way I think she is mobile for her age, and out does me at 45! Lol

That happens to many due to aging. I give her credit for all she does at 80 and I like her.

I don't think it's age. I saw a show with clips from her acts & shows from when she started out & thru the years. She always walked & stood like that.

I don't think many understand about the body and aging and even without aging, not all bodies are the same.

It is condescending to compare, in such negative terms, Joan or anyone else to another person of the same age, when you do not know the circumstances and besides, no two people and no two bodies are the same.

If even one had bothered to research, you would know she has had osteoporosis for years and is a big advocate for exercise and other treatment of osteoporosis as well as getting bone density studies done. This is one of the very few things she gets very serious about.

I suffer from osteoporosis just as my grandmother did, and I appreciate Joan making this a forefront issue for those of us who are at risk. Before she died, my grandmother was unable to lie down in bed because her body was shaped like an L through no fault of her own, but her heritage. She had to sit in a chair to sleep as best she could and her brittle ribs collapsed on her lungs, making it almost impossible to breathe even with oxygen.

It is very demeaning to imply those who suffer this in their old age are somehow responsible, as is making light of any congenital anomalies or ethnic-related maladies.

Do some research on what occurs in the female body with age. Not all have it, but small-framed women of European heritage are at great risk for osteoporosis. Also, run your fingers across your keyboard while you can and research aging and illness. There may be a time when that is not possible secondary to osteoarthritis of aging women but I certainly would not compare those who can to those who cannot.

Really?? Now we're looking and commenting how people stand?? Why should you care? Don't we watch for the products or are people fixated on how the hosts and vendors look or speak? What a world we are living in!! Its really a shame.

Those make comments like this don't even realize the harm that they're doing....it's hurtful, not helpful, to anyone. (Then they'll say it's just 'opinions'....baloney!)

I can't believe there are so many 'perfect' ones out there who take pleasure in commenting like this on others, whether it be their body, hair, mannerisms, clothing, you name it....nothing stops them. Kind of evil, I'd say.

She's 80... Having said that, I wish I had her vitality and stamina. Also, with my back problems I sort of tilt to the left when I stand for any length of time. I'm 54....

Joan Rivers is amazing with all the things she does and I think she is doing great and is always on the go!! I wouldn't want to try and keep up with her!!!

I doubt that Joan worries about things that are said about her. A couple of weeks ago she said Kim K.'s baby is ugly and needs an eyebrow wax. If she can dish it out she can probably take it.

She is old. Geriatric, anything you call it. That's a fact. You don't sugar coat it. You only have so long of a life span, and she using it up.
