I tried so hard to get a size 2 petite or regular but they went right away, (they seem to always go right away in all MS jeans)...I kept checking every day. I read all the reviews and some of the posts here, and based on that info I took a shot on the size 4p. I'm 5'1 1/2", 116 lbs, usually (when mfr's size right) I'm a solid size 2/regular (even if I have to tuck skinny jeans under for right length or hem a boot cut, they fit me more flattering and true than a petite.) But on an ankle pant like this style, and based on the measurements they gave for inseam, I thought I could take a shot. Disappointed, I cannot believe how short on me they are... they hit above my ankle bone. For the best look I'd have to either let down the hem for that unfinished, fringe hem or cuff for a more cropped look, neither of which I prefer. Also...for me...these seem a bit too long in the rise, too high in the waist...but had the rest been ok, that wouldn't be a deal breaker since I'd be wearing a top over the waist, not tucked in. If only I could have gotten the size 2 regular, I think those would have worked. So, essentially, I guess since 2 regular is usually my best, correct size...MS jeans, at least these, fit true to size. Wish I'd been able to get my true size, as these sure are cute; I haven't seen anything in a patchwork jean as nice as this one. The denim is nice quality, it's a comfortable jean and cute. They need to have more inventory...these were popular, but didn't seem like they had enough sizing for the demand on this jean. These will likely go back; if I'm going to spend money on a jean...it's all about the fit being perfect and the look being right, not just ok. I really liked these and wanted them, but I've learned my lesson...never ordering jeans, one of THE hardest things to find the right fit of, online or on tv! Have to try on!! Hate paying $7.00 shipping back too!

So what's the real sizing deal on these? Some reviews say they run large, some true to size, and some small?

Anyone have them? I missed the boat last time and would like to try to grab a pair today.

Please and thank you.

I have them ,and for me, the petite fit true to size. They are a skinny jean, and that might be the problem for some. They wash well, don't stretch out, I throw mine in the dryer, and it is all good.

Look at the description and click on the click here measurements. Those measurements are the actual measurement of the jeans. Compare those with a pair you own providing the spandex content is the same and you should get a perfect fit.

I know what you mean. I used to spend hours trying on jeans in the store. And even if you had the same jean in the same size and wanted several pairs, each one seems to fit differently. It was exhausting.

i have had great luck with the click here measurements, I wish all on line retailers provided it. I buy all my denim on the Q now because it’s so much easier than trying on so many in the stores. However I have been purchasing clothing from catalogs since I was high school. Never liked shopping in the malls. I am in my mid 60’s. So the measurements the Q provide are the best thing since sliced bread and more times than not I get a perfect fit.

Thank you. Is the waist kind of average, or to they pinch in at the waist?

@faeriemoon

IMO, with the 6 pair I've tried, the waist runs small.

I just don't think the 'click here' measurements are correct.

Thanks for your thoughts on this. I have taken the plunge on this based on other jeans in my closet. The waist measurement seems to be the same. I'll report back. I'll either be elated that they fit great, or I'll be griping that I have to make a return. And it will definitely be a return and not an exchange because this particular jean will look ridiculous with baggy legs.

@KingstonsMom

Good Luck. I hope they fit. One of the measurements besides the waist that I pay great attention to is the thigh circumference. That for me is usually more important than the waist for a proper fit. I really look at the thigh and the knee measurements along with the waist and hips of course. But for some reason the thigh measurement is the most important as to how the legs fit.
