How do you feel about PERFORATED shoes?

I am in boots mode for a few months still, but I was perusing "new arrivals" and a lot of them have perforation.

I like the air flow during the warm weather months; it helps to keep the feet dry.

Yep, and the shoes less stinky. I'm in central Texas and summers are usually in the triple digits. I like any help I can get to stay cool.

For air flow, I prefer cut outs, like on these Born sandals-

I thought these were interesting too, from Patagonia.

Funny, I received catalog for Footsmart.com yesterday and it was full of perforated shoes and sandals.

Those sandals are cute, but then I have to worry about how my toes and heels look. With perforated shoes, or those Patagonia ones, I get air flow, but my toes and heels are hidden. I HATE painting my toe nails and prefer shoes where they don't show. (Those coral peep toes you posted are awfully tempting, though!)

In the original post, the red on the left is great looking. The taupe below it is old-lady, which many perforated shoes tend to look like.

Depends on the shoe. Some I love and I own a few pair. Others, not so much. I am glad to see them everywhere this spring, something different!

Don't like them at all. The only pair I would even consider wearing are the black, slingback heels in post #9.

I love them! I also love leather car seats with the little holes. ESPECIALLY if the seats are the air conditioned ones!

Seems like that is the trend now, COACH had a few of leather perf bags on their last factory outlet sale.

I personally do not like perf shoes just for the sake that if there's water, your feet get wet.

Unless there's huge holes, I don't see the airflow thing at all.

I received that same small catalog for the Coach factory outlet and I thought those perforated handbags were ugly.

and they didn't sell out either, probably need to do a 60-75% off on those.

Dennis Basso jacket didn't sell out either, guess the perf hasn't caught on yet.

I personally don't like anything perf'd, next we'll see perf'd jeans, wouldn't surprise me with matching undergarments or maybe opposite colors
