QVC PANTS, JEANS, CROPS, ETC.

I hope someone at QVC sends this request up to the powers that be. I truly hope they can start making some of their xxs's true xs's. The xxs's on QVC are like s/medium in brick and mortar.

I bought 2 pairs of the PLW joggers. The saltwashed joggers are darling. They run big, but they don't run huge. The other joggers (Emma) are super cozy and soft. That being said, the xxs is like a medium in brick and mortar. They ran absolutely huge and I"m sure the reviewers will say that as they do about many of the pants on QVC. Logo joggers runs huge too! I see reviewers all the time say that xxs run big. I'd never be an xxs in brick and mortar!

I am not teeny tiny. I am slender. It's so frustrating to not be able to purchase a lot of the joggers that I"m interested in due to Q's ridiculous vanity sizing. The tops are not so absurdly oversized, but their jeans, pants, crops, joggers all run so big.

Please send this request to your buyers to start making some of their pant items run more true to brick and mortar store sizing. It's ridiculous that many xxs's are too big for me. If they are too big for me--they have to be way too big for many others who are smaller or even petite.

They are not fooling me. I know I"m not an xxs! It's just absurd. When some of these hosts say they are in an xxs, and they should be in a medium...that tells me something, lol!

I 'm no extra extra small either but I guess it's smart marketing because people like getting into smaller sizes.I personally just find it confusing and buy less

I think you are right. It makes some feel they are smaller--they are not fooling me at all.

Not a problem for me. I'm a medium tops and bottoms across the board - brick and mortar, QVC and other catalogs I shop.

Hi Win, You know I don't order clothing from QVC because I like to see/feel fabrics, the inconsistent sizing issues and the hassle/cost to return them. But if I could get my rear end in an xxs, I think I will order a pair of PWL joggers for the sheer pleasure of being able to say so!😉

In all seriousness, i'm sorry you are experiencing this problem. How frustrating. It's not like you can exchange for a smaller size. I long for days gone by where consistency in sizing DID exist!

This is how I feel about DG jeans. When someone who normally wears an 8 is wearing a 4, what do the women do who normally wear a 2 or 4? Vanity sizing doesn't make me happy, it drives me bonkers. LOL

I find a lot of the sizing is “off” across the board...most brands.

When a vendor says “QVC sizing”, what does that mean? The measurements on the sizing charts are not true to the garments I’ve received.

I’ve paid so much for returns, been disgusted by fit, that I’d much rather go to the mall, take a few sizes of the same garment into the dressing room and get the proper fit.

@winamac1. Petites also vary by lines of clothing. In some lines, a Petite just means a shorter inseam while other lines change the proportions throughout the garment. I can’t wear a petite size pants or top even though 5’1” and size 2/4 because of my individual measurements....I just need a shorter length. BTW, petite length is for 5’4”and under which means I have to hem them anyway. I get a better fit w/ a reg. 2/4 and then alter it.

I like my pants to drape which is not the norm today, so large for sizing is fine with me. I cinch in the waist and joggers gather at the ankle so I will be able to stop tripping!

The sizing inconsistencies across the board are frustrating.

@LTT1 My family’s been in the clothing manufacturing business. Very few (almost none) of the garment are made in the USA...not proud of that, BTW. Every location cuts the patterns off by 1/4” here or there...language barriers, unskilled labor, etc.

Shanus... thank you for posting this information! (This would be an ah-ha! moment for me).

What a wonderful proud industry to be in, especially for items made in the USA!

Figured as much about the made in C. Workers may not know how to measure correctly....and also there is the problem in converting from cm to in.

Eta: I bought a pair of PLW “kale” colored joggers (used) from Poshmark just to see about fit. Hint: when I wash my new, I am going to TURN INSIDE OUT and wash gently as it looks like they pill (?) or look ragged.

I never have any problems fitting into pants at any brick and mortar store--never. It's absurd that 80% of the pants, joggers, jeans and crops are too big for me on QVC. I never wear the smallest sizes in pants at any of the retailers that I shop at.

And Lipstick Diva--you are so right--Diane Gilman jeans run huge too. Diane wears a 4 or something like that, and she'd be a 10 in brick and mortar--8 or 10.

@magicmoodzHi Magic. Let me assure you, you COULD get your rear end in the XXS. They ran very big, and I bet they'd be too big for you! One could fit two tiny, petite women in the EMMA xxs joggers. They seriously are grossly oversized.
