Anyone here like bed jackets?

I like to wear them w/a pair of fleece slacks for stuff around the house. They are warm and NOT TOO long for a shorty like me. I thnk they are great.

Yes. I have a lovely coral colored chenille one I ordered from QVC years ago, by Stan Herman, and it's still in beautiful shape. I wear it when I don't need the full warmth of a robe or just over a shirt with some warm pants during the day!

I would like to get one but I have my eye on SHs longer zip front robe in gray and one in pink.

I think they're a great idea, but I could never own one. When I was a kid, my mother bought one for every friend of her's that was sick. They must have been very sick because they all died shortly after. It stuck in my head so that it's not even a consideration for me.

I so understand @travelin grandma my whole life was my Mom with being bedridden off an on through out her life with two incurable diseases. The bed jackets she wore back even in the mid 1960's I still remember. They were lovely so very feminine but having memories as early as a toddler of wearing just makes me cringe and hurt. They did however make her spirits brighter to be able to sit up and put one on when she had good days.

I have a pretty fleece periwinkle one I got from the Vermont Country Store. Often with the warmth of the curling iron in the bathroom, a robe just makes me hot and wraps around my legs while I'm getting ready.

No but I have an old sweater that hits me barely below the waist, with long sleeves that I wear every day around the house when I'm in my casual clothes. I would probably enjoy a bed jacket.

eBay has a good selection of old & new bed jackets for anyone so inclined.

I had one from QVC - Stan Herman possibly, but it got too small so I donated it. I may get another one some day. Long robes tend to get in the way and I can get twisted around in them when I am on the couch.

I love them but they are hard to find. I wear them during the change of seasons. Summer nightgown with bed jacket and if it gets too hot the jacket comes off.

I have a Stan Herman one and I love it. Wear it when I am not feeling well. I find it comforting.

I love bed jackets. I still wear my Stan Herman chenille one that I have had for about 20+ years when it is chilly but I don't want to wear a robe. I wish that he would bring them back.

Truthfully, I was given one as a Christmas gift, and it went straight to the donation bag. As a couple of other posters said, to me bed jackets are for people who are bedridden - either from age or illness. And my legs would be cold without a full robe on. I honestly didn't even realize they still sold bed jackets, but in any case they're not for me.

I do not like long robes, but a bed jacket would not do it for me. I wear robes alot and always the right below the knee length. Perfect for me - not in the way and the right amount of coverage. With a bed jacket would have to wear pants too and for me that defeats the purpose. Don't want anythilng around my waist either, therefore I vote for mid length robe!

Thanks becuz I read in bed and get so chilly but don't want a big robe wrapping around my legs. I'm going to look around for one.
