Buyer Beware on Exchanges!

I purchased the AnyBody Loungewear Tall Cozy Knit Novelty Print Pajama Set. The online size chart shows (and host stated) 5'8" and above should order the tall. I'm 5'8" so I ordered the tall and it was WAY too long in the rise. I wanted to exchange the tall for a regular, but the online return form only showed the tall sizes in the dropdown list for the size I wanted to exchange it for. I contacted the QVC Online Chat and was informed that since the Tall is a different Item Number from the Regular, it did not qualify for a free exchange. It is VERY misleading to advertise free exchanges and then have this type of technical disqualification.

Actually that makes sense. Petites, regs and talls are always different item #’s. Exchanges have to be same item and can only be exchanged for a different color or size. Going from a tall to reg is not exchanging for the same item (hence the different item #).

Actually I find that the different lengths seldom have different item number, and the OP is correct. Its not fair and is misleading. Here's another example of people who don't know what they're doing.

It's a different size of the exact thing. They've given it different Item numbers so they don't have to do free exchanges. Deceptive, in my opinion.

You are incorrect. They are different item #’s. Go look for yourself so you aren’t one of those people you mentioned who don’t know what they’re doing. I can wear reg or tall depending on inseam length and item #’s are always different. What CS told OP is correct. Another example: if you want to edit an item you ordered you can’t edit and change from a tall to a reg or petite, etc. Why? Bc they are different item #’s. You must cancel and re-order in the different length.

I don’t see how they’re being deceptive. They have had the different item #’s long before they offered free exchanges. Going from a tall to a reg is not the exact same thing either. If they were, they'd both be the same inseam. But, they’re not.

In the world of blank apparel, sizing charts typically include body length, body width, and sleeve length. ... BODY LENGTH: Lay garment flat (face down). Measure from center back neckline seam straight down to bottom of the front hem.

I think it's DECEPTIVE TOO... here is why: Examples

On Air Shows Item A294071 - Carol Hockman 3 piece PJ set

.........then REGULAR is Item A294067

..........then PETITE is Item A294068

............then TALL is Item A294070

So where the heck is the "on air" Item ? No where...

.......then REGULAR is Item A260064

.........then PETITE is Item A260201

So where the heck is the 'on air" Item ? No where again.

Makes absolutely no sense to me....they do this on many things, not just clothing......You can't win that I can see. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't think so.

Good to know. It's a bit misleading and poor service.If they aren't going to improve upon this offer then the hosts need to explain all details when mentioning it.

@AmericanBulldogMom Yes, we all know what you just reiterated again, but most items come in medium and petite and have one item number. I place 20-25 orders a month and many are pants so I'm well experienced, thank you.

I think it is important to now your inseam. That way no matter what length is offered you know what you are getting, I am short and need a 27 inch inseam. Some petites are too long for me.

@Kachina624 so giive us an example where petite and regular and or tall are the same item #! I have never experienced that. All items I see with different inseams are different item #s...

I’ve also found this to be the case when exchanging a TSV. In fact, if I remember correctly, it actually may have also happened with a bracelet - because the different lengths had different item numbers after the TSV date.

Although I agree with those who comment that there are two different item numbers, it is not advertised this way for TSV’s. In fact, if a person calls in the order, they may be completely unaware that you choose petite/regular/tall prior to going into the item.

The problem is that when the item is shown on air, all lengths appear under one item number. In reality, when you try to order that same item on-line, different lengths are a different item number. That's where the confusion is coming in.

Please use your ordering experience you are so obviously proud of and provide us with items where talls, regs and petites are the same # in which you are so knowledgeable about. OR....I can reiterate it for you again, if you need me to. 🙄

I would post on the customer care forum and ask if they can help you with this? I know you already called CS but I have had the worst experiences calling (mostly) and live chat is a big dud also. I ended up posting on customer care forum and the knowledgable CS people fixed several of my problems and even apologized that the other CS people didn't do my refund and so on.
