Looking for a Bargain "Crashing-Around" Coat in Microfleece for Winter?

A few years ago, I got Denim and Co.'s Microfleece Fully Lined Toggle Coat with Removable Hood, A3122. At that time they made it in raspberry, which I snapped up.

It's been such a little gem. Natually, I like the Fifties' style "car coat" vibe it has, with toggles, and those little "belts" at the end of the sleeves. You can feel like a young Natalie Wood sporting around in it, ha. But beyond that, it is light, warm (I usually layer a cardigan under it) for all but the most freezing temps, slightly oversized in a flattering way, believe it or not.

Thought it would only be for ultra casual, but it still looks fine thrown on over my Sunday best-- just wore it to church this last Sunday.

But now, they are offering two of the colors-- "Natural" (which is D. and C.'s version of winter white), and "New Antique Rose"-- for ten dollars off, at about 43 bucks.

I just ordered the "New Antique Rose". I think the two "bargain" colors are among the

most flattering. But the "Mallard Blue" is looking awfully pretty too...

I think that's the same coat I ordered and returned many years ago. I think the toggles were off somehow and several didn't close correctly. It is a cute coat.

I've had it in purple for several years and love it. I may have to look into getting it in another color.

I have the same coat in camel and liked it so much I bought a purple one. Right after that someone had it for sale in "abcd"bay for half as much. I live in Cleveland and it is warm enough for me all winter.

@geegerbee, good point about the warmth. Don't you love the fact that in addition to the toggles, there's that versatile two-way zipper underneath. Can really keep those nippy Great Lakes breezes at bay!

The one thing I would change about it is I would love if it had natural wood toggles, instead of dyed-to-match....

When I don't like the buttons, toggles in this case, I change them. It's easy even for someone like me for whom sewing is a foreign language.
