Boyfriend Sweaters? Your View.

Do you like "boyfriend" sweaters? Too long after "Mr Rogers" his "v" neck cartigan sweater styles are being put out. Do you care for them?

Myself, not much. I got a navy one because it was all that was available in that weight. If I had been offered another style choice.......

I like them,I have 2. One in black and one in a bright blue. The ones I have are very light weight and great worn with sleeveless tops and camis in Spring. Not sure where I bought them,not the Q.

I have 3 by different designers so I must like them. Like them over tunics.

I don't wear cardigans because I don't like to layer. If it's cold enough to layer, then I wear a warmer top. In general, I like boyfriend sweaters though.

I "freeze" if the temperature is below 80°. I have at least 50 sweaters.......all kinds: boleros, shrugs, swing, dusters, boyfriend, pullovers, long-sleeve, short-sleeve.........you name it!!!!

You know how I feel about those fly front, drape-y cardis (hate)? I like the Mr. Rogers v-neck with buttons even less!! The only cardi I like is a plain, straight front that drapes from the neck/shoulders, like this...at any length...

I never heard the term boyfriend sweater. It looks like a plain old cardigan to me lol. I like cardigans, but not with buttons.

Yes, I love them! I have several, including a Grandpa sweater. Grey V-neck cardigan, with matching buttons.

I am retired so I have 3 in basic colors for wear with my jeans mostly this time of year. It is 32 going down to 20s each night here in central NY. I dress warm and keep thermostat down as long as possible. They didn't work for me at the office.

I don't like sweaters much, at all. I think I just donated the last of the cardigans I owned, and very rarely wore.

@Desertdi,

I totally agree with you, in CT when it gets cold you need to layer as an onion. In our bad winters I am always in a state of constant hypothermia however boyfriend sweaters are ok for home cannot wear them to work🌻Summing up I do not buy them.

I love them. Depending how they fit, I need to use a belt. I'm really curvy with a small waist so they don't look matronly on me. I even throw over a sheath dress with a skinny belt. I buy them so they are fitted or semi-fitted. I think this is how they look dressier.

I have two Irish a few IM boyfriend sweaters I got from the Q and I would get more. They look great for school or work. I can dress them up or down. They are my favorite type of sweater. I've gotten so many compliments on that Natural Irish BF sweater I've lost count. Just beautiful.

I have 2 of the Chadwick's boyfriend sweaters.... love them! Look fabulous with skinny jeans and boots (which is my everyday "uniform"). I'm all about layering and I kind of agree with @Desertdi about once it's below 80, I'm in light layers so I can "peel."

Love them. They are so cozy... I wear them a lot in my office where it's freezing in the summer with all the AC, and drafty in the winter since my office has a window the entire length of the wall.
