I looked at my daily mail email preview from the post office just now and it shows that I'll be receiving a $20 off coupon from Talbots in our mail today.

So check your mailboxes!

They're celebrating their 70th anniversary this weekend. I wonder what deals they'll have?

@gidgetgh Oh thank you! I hope I get mine too although in the past mine has come a day after yours. Wonder if we'll also get an email coupon, so that we can use the $20 multiple times. That would be good....

How do you get a preview of your mail from the post office. are you talking about the USPS.

And in a separate T mailing, I got an invitation to party at T's for the 70th birthday celebration. "On Sat. the 23rd (this Sat). in celebrtion of the 70th anniv., as a special birthday treat for our loyal Talbot's Credit Cardholders, a limited edition pair of pearl earrings, with any purchase made in stores on your talbots Credit Card, Saturday only."

@tobes- yes, the U.S. post office. It's called Informed Delivery and it's free. Each morning, around 7:30-8:00, they email me scanned pictures of the mail (envelopes) we'll be receiving that day. I love seeing what we'll be receiving.

If you go to the Post Office's site and search Informed delivery, you'll find it. Sign up only took a minute or two.

@gidgetgh What coupon are you taling about that you got "a few minutes ago?" I thought you got your coupon in the mail the day you started this thread? Do you mean an email coupon is coming? Like I suggested it might above to use multiple times?

@gidgetgh Did you see in the new items put on sale (today's email) that the iceberg wash denims went on sale for $59.95 and then there's that extra $20 off...... What a price! (I didn't read the fine print of the $20 off but just assuming it's like the others we've had - good on anything not just full-priced items).]

There are also some weekend chinos marked down.

Anyone heading to Talbots tomorrow for the 70th birthday celebration? I plan on going first thing. I have my coupon to use and I want the free earrings!

I’m supposed to have two reward certificates available starting today, but when I looked at my account they’re not showing on there. I’ve made a few returns lately so maybe they backed them out.

In any case, I plan to go tomorrow and look around.

@Pearlee-yeah, I got the email a little while ago. I have pearl studs, but heck, they’re free.

I really don’t know that I’m looking for anything though. I looked at a lot online this afternoon and took screen shots of a few things.

It doesn’t look like they’re going to give us any sort of % off since the coupons are active. I like the bling sweater, but not at full price, even with my coupon.
