OMG can anyone be original ?? This cold shoulder craze is on my last nerve why does everyone need to follow these stupid trends ? So predictable every host wears every women you see, be your self ladies stop following every trend out there !

There have been fashion trends since the first cave man killed a wolf and made clothes out of the pelt...lol Fashion trends are a part of life because designers and retailers sell what people are buying. I like the look but to me, it's a summer look. So, I only had one cold shoulder maxi dress....until this morning. The Hot in Hollywood top was so cute and floaty that I just had to have it. I hav shoes and boots in that burgundy color, so I can make it work as a dressy top in the early Fall. People who do not care for the look shouldn't buy it....and they shouldn't watch presentations or look at them in stores. It isn't that hard.

I believe you meant to tell me not to watch or look at , to each their own I like to be a leader not a follower but if you love it that's your choice

Good catch. It's only clothes, it's not brain surgery. We all get to wear what we want. That's the fun of fashion. There's no right or wrong.

My choice to wear it. But for my purposes it is perfect. Long flowing skirt and cold shoulder top. Great on the dance floor. On a daily basis not exactly what I wear. But as been said... it is a choice.

I don't get why it causes angst in some that there's been several posts against the trend. If it's a TSV and on air all day, there's lots of these posts hating cold shoulders, quite a few newbies in those threads, too.

Because it's a trend the Q probably has a large inventory of it. Well, everyone that likes it better wear it now before Fall weather begins. I can't see that look in the winter where you have 4 seasons. I am personally not a fan of the look at all. I like off the shoulder but at my age I would not wear it.

Instead of calling people "followers" lacking in originality, you might just say that a particular style that is great for some is not for you. If you are watching 2 days of clothing, you have probably seen lots of cold shoulder, split shoulder, etc and it is understandable that you would not have enjoyed seeing these items.

On on the other hand, there is nothing truly original in fashion except the way a designer combines aspects of a garment and fabric choice. Cold shoulder was popular in Edwardian England and during other times throughout history. It is the same with every other sleeve, hem, bodice, skirt, pant, etc. It has all been done.

So no worries to anyone who chooses whatever they like and what makes them feel good. The great thing is we all have choices of all of these styles and thank goodness people like different things. It would be a much less colorful and less interesting visual world.

I don't like the cold shoulder look at all. I think it's especially inappropriate for work, even though I work with someone who wears cold shoulder tops often. It showcases one of her least attractive parts, but whatever.

Craze? I certainly wouldn't call that a "craze"...... maybe a fad, but also definitely not a "trend", that's for sure. All those cold shoulder tops will be in the Goodwill store soon enough.
