Denim & Co. How Smooth jeans

Does anyone own these jeans and have any suggestions regarding sizing? I am interested in giving them a try. I looked at the sizing chart but they seem to run smaller measurement-wise than other QVC pants. Size-wise it appears as if I'd have to go up a size, but I'm wondering if they stretch out due to the high polyester content. Does anyone else own these pants and could give me some suggestions regarding sizing? Should I stay true-to-size or size up? Thanks!

I own these in the straight leg version which was a former TSV. I know these jeans took a lot of hits from posters who hated them and didn't have nice things to say about them but I love them.

I am a pear shape so I carry my weight in my hips, butt and thighs. My normal size fits me to a t. I do have to wiggle slightly to get the waist up over my lower half but once up, I have absolutely no gaping at the waist which is always a problem for me and they are not too tight in my problem areas.

I am not a tucker inner so the waistband or pull on style doesn't bother me at all. I love that it is flat and smooth so no matter what kind of top I have on, I don't have anything poking out.

I did buy a size down, just to try them, because I bought them as-is for a great price. For my pear shape, that was a no. I was able to wiggle and jiggle into them but I worked up a sweat doing it (LOL) and then I honestly thought I was stuck in them. I could barely wiggle back out.

I do have to wonder though if someone is larger through the mid-section, if these would work or if the tummy would be too tight and legs baggy?

I also bought them back when they were a TSV. I bought my regular size and they are a great fit. I was disappointed that the black denim quickly faded to yuck. But the dark indigo are holding their color. They did not shrink, but I never dry them in the dryer. I would really like more pants like them.

Thanks for everyones comments! There's a Top Find today that is Denim & Co. How Smooth bootcut jeans. Bootcut is my favorite style and they are offering them in talls which is what I need! I do carry my weight in my tummy. I just can't find comfortable jeans anymore so I'm really close to ordering these. What I may do is order them in my regular size and one size up and see which ones I like better. I see that QVC is now offering a new exchange service on clothing (which is great!) but you risk having your size and color being sold out. I may just give these jeans a try. I'm desperate and at least they're not $150 jeans!

are those the slimming jean? if so I have two pair one in a size 10 and 12 and I really like them. i normally do not buy jeans from here but I love them? hold their color wear have the dark deim

I post this in case you are like me with slimmer legs. I find the legs to be too wide on just about every Q jean I have tried. I think they favor the "pears", so to speak.

I know that for Jag jeans (on which these are based), the Nordstrom site says to order your normal apparel size if have a curvy body type and to order a size down if you have a straight/apple-shape body type. I guess that's how they account for the different types. I have several pairs of Jag shorts of this design -- so comfortable, and I never tuck so don't care about the waistband.

I tried them about a year ago. It didn't go well. I do think they run small and I usually have no problems with QVC sizing, I know my measurements and I know my QVC sizes. I ordered my usual size and couldn't zip them up, not even close. I did not return them because I was losing weight at the time, I should try them on now that I'm much smaller. My luck, they will be too big now. I won't try those jeans again.

Do not go down in size with the How Smooth jeans. Stay with whatever size you normally buy from the Q. The How Smooth jeans(no zipper) are a snug fit once you wiggle your way into them. But after that they are a pretty good fit. They will loosen up a very small bit but won't stretch out of shape and start falling. They stay put on my waist with no problem.

No, there isn't a zipper. That's why they call them "How Smooth." You are supposed to wear a longer shirt in order to cover the wide waistband.

@tockerman, they have D&C jeans called How Slimming which are different from the How Smoothing.

Mine are D&Co jeans and they do have a zipper but perhaps they aren't the How Smooth jeans. Regardless, I won't buy D&Co jeans again. I do wear lots of other D&Co clothing. That's why the jeans sizing surprised me.
