The 'big shirts' definitely run large. For instance I own several of those and I normally wear a size XL and sometimes a 1X but in those shirts I wear a size Large.

I have some clothes from years past on these 'designers' and the sizes are very different from what they used to be....very different.

My experience is JR brand runs about 1/2 size larger than Denim & Company. I hang up most of my clothes to dry, but have thrown JR tops in the dryer a few times. I haven't wanted to downsize, so I order regular size. You may want to check measurement charts provided and definately read item reviews.

I order my regular size. I notice tight shoulders/upper back if I size down. I do use a dryer though.

I have a jacket and it's true to size. I wear a medium.

There are quite a few of us that size down in tops with excess volume. It's overwhelming!

I haven't bought anything in recent years, but a few years ago, her jackets seemed to run small, more like B&M but don't take my word. Trust the girls who have purchased the shirts recently.

I was never a fan of the big shirt or the boyfriend shirt until I found JR. I love these things. I find her sizing to be somewhat generous on the big shirts but not oversized. I have ordered her blouses for gifts for my daughter in law and they ran true to size. I ordered a quilted jacket and it was true to size.

Check her size chart and your measurements to get the right fit for you on the garment that you are selecting. I find fewer fit problems with JR line than with others but it may be because there is less spandex in the items I am purchasing. Hope this helps you.
