Perfect Bra Help

I'm 38 yrs old & have a huge problem finding the appropriate bra. My problem is that I'm sitting in a wheelchair for 10 or more hours. They either ride up or down on me. Don't know what to do.

I can't wear those Genie type bras, they roll up on me and I find them very itchy and tight. I found a really comfortable bra at Walmart by Hanes called Barely There and I "barely" know I'm wearing. It's not a very supportive bra I don't think if you're big busted, but I'm a 38B so need that. I wear bras as little as possible, can't stand them, but this one I forget I have on. Comes in lots of colors. I bought an XL so it wouldn't be tight. It does have adjustable straps and a regular back closing so it's not like a sports bra. I'm gonna get more, think it was $10. Hope this helps. Meant to say I DON'T need much support above.

Read the complete reviews on some bras you like. Some users will address ride up. I know I have some, but I can't think of which ones they are right now. Try the complete reviews. Look at Playtex 18 Hours bras and read reviews. Try Glamorise reviews.

Walmart has a very inexpensive cotton bra that I find to be very comfortable. It is not pretty at all (I don't like the seam on it), but it holds everything in place just fine for me. I like it most of all because it breathes very well, which might be good for you if your "girls" aren't moving around very much during the day while you are sitting in the wheelchair.

The best part is the price...you aren't out that much if it doesn't work well. I originally got it to sleep in, but I wear mine a lot around the house. I know this doesn't answer your question, but only a proper bra fitting will do that. And trying on many styles. Just letting you know about this one in case you are interested.

Something like 80% of the woman in this country are wearing the wrong size bra and getting professionally measured at a dept store is not going to help because most of those sales clerks do not know how to measure properly. A couple of years ago I went to Macy's, L&T and Nordstrom on the same day looking for new bras. measured at all 3 stores. Yup was told a different size at each of the stores.

As there is really no standardization in bra sizing and construction, there really is no "one" measurement that will work across all styles and brands. Heck, as expensive as Wacoal bras are (they really are best for my large bust) I was really ticked off to find that even with them, with the exact same bra style number the cream color bra that I tried on and fit perfectly fit differently than the coffee color of that exact same bra which I DIDN'T try on. That shouldn't happen IMHO, but it does.

I've learned my lesson, try on every single one before I buy.
