I Found a Very Nice Dress to Wear to a Bridal Shower

I have looked for a dress from Sears, QVC, HSN, Blair, Macy's, Lord and Taylor, etc.with no luck. Went to Nordstroms yesterday and purchased a lovely Ralph Lauren navy poka dot dress. Has a surplus neckline with side ruching and flutter short sleeves. Love the fabric and the quality of the dress. Was originally $119 and it was on sale for $71.

I'm 59 years old and about a size 12 or 14. Nothing I tried on at the other stores worked for me. They were either too short, or sleeveless. I don't have the greatest legs/knees or arms so short or sleeveless does not work for me. Dress shopping was getting me so depressed.

Now I'm so excited. It was my birthday yesterday too. I'm so happy with the present I got for myself! This dress is so flattering, it makes my body look the way it was many, many years ago.

Needless to say, I'll be looking in the future at more dresses from Ralph Lauren.

@BunSnoop - Two years ago we had three weddings in a row from April to June. One was enening formal (country club), one was garden, and one was small, but on the formal side. I wore a sleveless navy blue Ralph Lauren polka dot dress to the garden wedding. It had a tie belt. I took a lightweight crochet off-white jacket in case it got cold, and wore black sandals with a chunky heel. The only thing I wished I did differently was to wear wedges or flats! There were two tents set up, and they were both floored, but walking between them and getting to them in the first place was "fun" LOL!

You will look amazing. Have fun going to your shower, and Happy Birthday! IMO you can't go wrong with polka dots in the summer!
