I have white pants phobia :)

I have finally got two pairs of white pants (crop and long) that I really like and I think they look good on me. I keep thinking of which tops and shoes I want to wear them, but I never wear them. I am so concerned about spilling something or sitting in something and I stress myself out. I know this is silly, but I hope there is someone out there who can relate. My DH and I are going to Atlantic City later this week and I want to wear white pants but I keep talking myself out of it. For those who love and wear white pants, do you find that they are dirt magnets? Also, would you wear white pants on a plane?

I haven't worn white pants since an unfortunate "incident" in the ninth grade😜

Wow - you sound just like me! I'm worried I will sit in something and walk around with a stain on my rear so I never wear them either (even though I have a couple pair). So I can't really help answer your question.

@Trudey You made me LOL. That was me last Friday, I wore white slacks; I stood still on the train, didn't want to sit. Didn't lean against anything on the subway either. lol. About midday I didn't think about it anymore, got home, all good. Having said that, I probably would not wear white on a plane. Tight spaces + klutzy me = no good. : )

OMG. We've all had one of those "incidents ". It's a wonder we leave the house at all!

I've learned to love white pants. Menopause, I guess.

I love my white pants and skirts, leather and fabric. It's a good idea not wearing them when you travel.

Well, you could spray them with Scotchguard or spray starch before wearing them, and choose a time when you'll only be somewhere for 2 or 3 hours.

Personally, I haven't worn white pants in a very long time.

@Trudey I'm usually a food accident waiting to happen.

I remember, when I was at my wedding dinner, I asked for spaghetti with red sauce. The waitress said, are you sure? I didn't get any on me and that seemed to break the white clothing curse.

I say, wear the white pants. Just be careful around anything that can stain. Before you sit, scope out what you will be sitting on.

I wear a lot of white. WhenI press my clothes, I use Magic Spray Sizing in the Carolina blue can.

When you buy clothes, it has a nice body. You wash it, and it dries limp! What you removed is sizing which is added during the mfg. process. It also gives you a barrier between you and stains but isn't hard like starch. Sold next to starch.

I adore white pants and "live" in them throughout the summer. Love to wear colorful tops and bright sandals ~ sooooo beachy : )

I admire the looks one see here with various brands and models often wearing white bottoms and a colorful top! It looks so pretty but in real life no I won't wear them.

For one thing I feel like they make me look fat and then there is the issue of them getting dirty & stained like you. If I did wear them it would only be out to a nice dinner for a few hours. Never on public transportation!...just too dirty!

If I owned white pants I'd wear them all the time! Summer is so short, why waste the money and never wear them? I figure thats what washing machines and stain sticks are for.......white pants!
