Tell the size of models!

All of the hosts should always tell the size the model is and the size she is wearing, they talk and talk and yet this major information is so often left out! Tell the sizes!!! please...

yes because ther are times I consider something, esp jeans, and I need sizes... I can't figure it out unless I have someone to compare to..

The problem is some of the models look like they have been stuffed into their clothes. The pretty blond with the long hair who says she wears large is obviously mistaken about her size. I think she wears more like XL or 1X. If she wore proper size, she would be gorgeous, but wearing such tight clothes is so distracting from her natural beauty.

Because sometimes (but not always of course) it helps to see a model who is similar in size and body type wearing a piece of clothing that I'm interested in. It helps to know what size she's wearing and if I think it will look good on me. Just like it helps to see all body types. While I admire the tall thin ones I really can't identify with them or use them as a reference on how an article of clothing will look on me.

Not every garment looks great on every model regardless of what the host & vendor may say. Knowing sizes helps along with checking the measurement charts.

First - I don't know any adult woman who doesn't know her clothing size.Until I started reading this board I never knew anyone who didn't know their size.As for knowing the models size telling you anything at all about how anything will fit on you - I find that to be pretty incredible.

Here's an idea - measure yourself and look at the CLICK HERE measurements - that is how to find if something will fit you.

It amazes me that people want to sit in a chair and shop clothing on TV and expect it to work every single time. And if it doesn't, then you blame someone else. Many of the hosts will ask the model "what size are you wearing." Some don't. It's the hazard of TV shopping Shop in stores for a perfect fit.

I've never found that information to be particularly helpful for me. Seeing the clothes on different body types is. Knowing their height can be helpful when trying to determine where a garment may fall, or if they stayed true to their usual size; that's all I'd take into consideration, as far as the models are concerned, when deciding what size would be right for me.

I don't see how this would be helpful. They're all going to be fairly small sizes--especially if the model is stuffed into something.

Well, I agree with you. I am similar in build and height to some of the models and I want to know what they wear so I can make an informed decision based on all of the information the hosts can give me. I don't think that is asking too much at all.

For the life of me, I don't understand why you are so darn confused about this.

If you have two models wearing the same garments, and one is a size Large and the other is a size X-Large, does it really make that much difference?

What also has to be factored in is individual body type .... the QVC vanity sizing ..... and the fact that the camera makes those models look 10 to 15 pounds heavier than they actually are! If they are wearing shapewear like Spanx, you can only guesstimate.

Go back to the drawing board .... Measure all the parts of you and compare them to the sizes posted for the garment. It's not rocket science.

@I know my measurements, I read reviews when given and I also check the garment measurement chart. All of this does help but only if the item I receive is true to the chart within reason. Only certain designers seem to run true to size consistently.

I think it helps. I'm often in between sizes so knowing gives me an idea. Once Carolyn had said a fabric was extra stretchy, (but it also ran big, the latter she omitted, but maybe she has to hint that) I took a chance and sized down and I never do with pants. If I didn't know what size they were wearing, I'd have had to return it.

On my television there is always a small blocked off area in the upper left corner telling the height, top size and bottom size for each model on the show. It is not there the entire hour, but once or twice during the hour.. There is also the measurement chart. The host telling you what size the model or she is wearing is not accurate. because in a few cases the host or model who says they are in large, for example, need to size up.

Much is experience from from different brands. I have found frequently SG, B. Mackie, QF all run a bit big. Linea, D&C, JR, Basso, IM, C Wonder true to size. Clinton Kelly runs small. I don't buy Logo, but it looks to me like it fits the very slender models nicely, but not so much on the larger girls. This has been my experience, others may feel differently. But going by what the models or hosts say they are wearing would be my last choice for an accurate fit.

I'm shaking my head reading some of these comments. It would be no big deal for the hosts to share the sizes of the models. Some of them already do. It IS helpful to see them and get an idea of fit, based on a number of factors .... and YES, I most certainly do KNOW MY SIZE, however, not only are various lines sized differently, but even in the same line things are not all the same. I'm more familiar with Linea, but sometimes I may want a S, sometimes an XS, and if it's a line that I've never purchased from, it's certainly helpful. I've taken from an XXS to a M in the different clothing offered.

I always try to see the size on the hanger to get a guide, but knowing the size the model has on is best. It truly is no big deal and more helpful to some of us than not. I personally would rather get that info than a good portion of what is talked about when the clothes are being shown.

Knowing the size of the model is really no help to me. I have to look at the measurements and go from there.

Seeing it on a live person just shows me what the garment looks like - how it hangs or drapes.

@Bri36I agree - there will never be a model with my figure, but seeing a garment on someone else does tell me more about it than seeing it just on a hanger.

Also - I don't know why so many people think hosts have to keep giving the size info when they already don't believe what the hosts tell them about their size or even what some models tell them. I'm in Jeanne Bice's camp on this one - when I really want to know, I check the click here sizes because even when they give them on the TV, I can't see them all at once and decide for sure.
