I didn't really think of it but yes, definitely a French influence on the collection. I think they have moved way past their reputation from years ago as dowdy and out of date to really being a excellent example of American fashion design. SOme of the QVC designers should take note.

Really pretty things, as always, but other than the embroidered jeans which I'll buy immediately, the rest of the clothes are too formal for my "wear jeans every day" life. They're gorgeous though. Love Talbots.

Oh wow! Totally love most of those pieces!! I haven't bought much so far with the Spring collection because the tropical theme isn't really my style. Definitely looking forward to seeing the Fall collection.

@ECBG- thanks. There's a Talbots outlet close by. A few weeks ago I bought 2 tops there on clearance for next winter. Got a great price. I find tons of things that work for me at Talbots, even with my more casual lifestyle. I've been shopping there since I was a little girl. At that time, they sold children's clothes also.
