I wear liquid knit in very hot weather. SG liquid knit pieces with short sleeves tends to be a little thinner than other liquid knit pieces. I know many people on these boards do not care for it, but I like it. It hold up very well.

Just watching SG show and she said liquid knit is the #1 fiber on Q - how does this material work in 80 degree heat? Temps run high here in AZ. Would it work.

Any answers gratefully received.

I think liquid knit is fine in the summer (I live in Tennessee). I, however, wouldn't wear it out jogging in the summer.....it's great for work clothes; any season.

I wore it for seven summers in West Texas and did fine in it. No hotter or cooler than any other fabric. Some people have personal "summers" and blame liquid knit. I tend to believe there's another problem.

Liquid Knit - depends on how the polyester is woven to be able to call it liquid knit.

Often times (with all imports), there are quotas. So when an importer has filled the quotas on polyester, they have to re-name it to bring it in. Simple. It's all just polyester.

I have problems with my liquid knit. It pills and gets dull in areas. All different weights. It is the fiber breaking down. It is a little warm on warm days in California, also. The George Simonton tops in similar knit fabric to Graver HAS NOT PILLED, so it is not something odd I am doing.

I have 6 drawers full of liquid knit tops in addition to hanging cardigans and pants. Really like the liquid knit pants and capris. They are of a heavier weight than what is used in the tops. None of my liquid knit has shrunk, faded or pilled. I do not find it to be hot at all. It is a much better grade of polyester that I see out in the B&M stores. Feels good and holds the color when washed. I can recommend it. Some of my pieces are 10 or more years old and look new.

My pieces over 5 years old still look new. My more recent pieces are thinner and are now not worn away from the house. The fabric is thinner and some have pulled.. I have always washed cold water, Woolite, no fabric sheets etc., short cool dryer spin and out to dry on a hanger. Something has changed. In past sizing and quality was very consistent. Now not so much. I watch occasionally and read reviews hoping old standards return. When they do I will try again.

It think it depends on the woman. Some women get feel the heat more than others, some sweat more and some just prefer cooler fabrics. I wear liquid knit in the summer but I would not wear it outside on an 85 degree day. I would not wear it to the beach. Everywhere I go is air conditioned in the summer, so my liquid knit pieces are just fine.

@KathyM23. The high end designers also have their clothes made in those same foreign countries unless you buy something special made. High union wages here have driven prices for many products beyond the average Americans budget. It is a great big circle. Higher wages mean we pay more for products we purchase. What will happen when the country goes $15 hr min wage. Their raises will be paid for by the consumer. Those on assistance will need more money for food, housing, etc. The people who get left out are high school students looking for jobs and seniors who depend on their social security. Many retired seniors now need to work past 70.

I agree working conditions are bad many places, even here at home. QVC, like any company, has total control over who they do business with and the quality of the products they receive. When they see that the quality is poor they can take their business elsewhere. As customers if we don't like the quality of the goods or services we can shop elsewhere. I like to think there is more to this life than outdoing the other guy/business to make the highest amount of money.
