Whatever happened to short sleeved blouses/camp shirts?

not pull over knit shirts, not sleeveless/cap sleeved or three quarter sleeved. But, button down, cotton/cotton blend short sleeved blouses. And length of at least 29" would be nice.

I just bought one at JCP Saturday. I love wearing them unbuttoned with tank tops. I got a real pretty plaid one that's a mix of turquoise, navy, & purple. I got coordinating tanks in purple & teal.

Designers have to keep changing the styles and colors to make people think they have to buy. When you get to 73 you can shop your own closet each season. You will find the "newest design" hanging there. My DIL says the same thing. We just replace a few basic items and something special if it comes along. The same with our jewerly.

Once the nice weather comes, I tend to wear a tank and then an open blouse/shirt, with the sleeves rolled up. Comfortable but "tidy", IMO. I used to wear camp shirts (remember Susan Graver's?), but now I like rolled up sleeves, not short sleeves. I guess it is a matter of taste. I am pretty ''''busty", but I love a crisp shirt, however buttoning them up isn't for me anymore. Camp shirt, blouse, roll up sleeves...whatever works!

I can pretty much find any type of fashion or style I am looking for. It's out there. Try Google. Penney's Macy's, Talbots, LL Bean ... I could go on.

If you are a plus size, they have some nice ones at " Woman Within. They have solids and some nice prints.

I have two with sleeves that come down to my elbow.

While I usually prefer solid colors, I got both of these in Hawaii, and they have the most extraordinary floral prints. I get compliments every time I wear the, usually with a tank underneath.

I wish I had bought more.

I just saw the cutest ones in the LL Bean catalog. Really cute, but not long like one poster likes.

I used to like Landsend, but think their quality has gone down and their blouses are too short.
