The second strand I cut into pieces - one shorter single strand at 30", three 8" strands that I make into a triple-row bracelet, and I take 4 pearls and work them into earrings (One pearl as stud and one pearl as drop on each earring).

What you will need to use to make a shorter strand is some jewelers cement (although E6000 from a craft store will work) and some "clamshell" bead tip/knit covers that you can order from Amazon. Over the end that remains with an exposed knot (after you cut off the discard length) you glue some jewelers cement inside one cup of the clamshell and press it closed over the knot. Then you can reattach the jump ring that came with the connection on the necklace.

Hi

I love Louis' pearls and would like the new colors but find I don't where the ones I have often enough due to the weight of the 72". I am a Lineaputian so was wondering how tough would it be to take the necklaces and make several shorter necklaces? Each pearl is individually knotted so I thought it might be doable but how do you add on the findings or would I need to completely redo the necklace?

Thanks

Laura

I don't have a clue, but do you have a bead shop in your city? These people tend to be very helpful and probably have the findings you need. Jewelry stores in our area charge an arm and a leg to redo pearls.
