They generally have a higher rise in them. This line used to be made in the U.S. too but now a lot of it is made offshore. Thiis clothing line has also expanded into non jean pants as well as tops.

The jeans are/were more expensive than some brands. I only own one pair of their jeans and 1 pair of black ponte knit pants. I think they are OK but I wouldn't pay full price for them. I think I bought them at Winners. Since Winners is owned by TJX, the parent company of T.J.Maxx and Marshall's, that's where I would look for them.

I own two pairs of Not Your Daughter's Jeans; a dark wash bootcut and a black straight. They are my "dress up" jeans. I did not pay full price for them, I got them at TJ Maxx for $39.99 each. I think they are a great stretch jean but no better than any other good quality stretch jean. I'd never pay full price for them...never. I don't quite understand what OP is asking. If she has them in her NYDJ size then they aren't going to stretch to accommodate a big belly. That's not what stretch jeans do. I size down in all stretch jeans, it's good for the ego. Most jeans with a lot of stretch "loosen up" a couple of hours after I wear them so that's why sizing down works.

The jeans fit when I buy them and mabye a tad loose in the waist but they never stretch any at all on me..........we don't know why my stomach has ballooned like I am 8 months pregnant in 13 days..........had blood drawn yesterday. Yet the jeans never stretch at all...........being made in china no wonder they are not as good as they were 4 years ago, and as for the do you wear them 10 days............yes I put a pair on for 10 days straight to see if they would stretch and give something and they do not but my body is clean and I am in my home just seeing if the jeans stretched it was a task to see do these jeans give as they are what they say. I am clean it is to wear a few hours each day for ten days and they did not stretch out at allll........soi they do not give on me..........thank you to all that posted.

I too have one pair of them, I did pay full price for them and I really like them. However with that being said, I would not pay full price again, to me they are better than DG2 jeans, because they don't stretch somuch that they loose their shape, but to me they stretch enough after several wearings......But they are not worth that astronomical price. I would like to try Cookie Johnson's jeans sold on HSN. They are supposed to be even better than NYDJ. Or I would like to try G by Guiliana, that is another brand that has really good reviews on their jeans.......Jeans are tough. To me it is the hardest thing to buy, other than maybe a good bra, but I have finally found mine-thank goodness......

I purchased them at Nordstrom's sald in petite length in my normal size. They are the new "flare" length jean in a dark wash. The name is Samantha. They ar a perfect fit and do stretch when I move but always return to size. I wear them for dress and have received many compliments on them.

The lycra content of the jeans is just one factor in determining how much the fabric stretches. How the fabric is woven will also determine how much vertical and horizontal stretch there is in the jeans. I think we've all had jeans that grew on you and stretched out too much so that you were yanking them up as the day went on. Some of those jeans likely also had waistbands cut on the bias and some waistbands stretch too much. Also women's bodies are different shapes so some need extra stretch in the waist and some do not.

I find those jeans that claim they are superstretch tend to also stretch out too much in the waistband and if the back rise of the jeans is a bit low, they will sag down expecially when sitting down.

I never liked them. Tried on a few, they fit, But I don't know why I dislike them. They try to imitate premium jeans. Another line of jeans I dislike intensly is True Religion. That's a premium jean. Only one I don't care for. Like all premium jeans, they are Amerian made.

I only wear premium jeans. And the cheapest they run is over $150 to $250.00. Great jeans. You get what you pay for. Certainly with jeans. I won't pay a penny for handbags. I rarely carry them. My sister gave me her Coach bag and it sits empty in the corner. Some women will pay hundreds for them. I do for jeans instead.

There's nothing wrong with the jeans. They are not made to accomodate a distended belly. They are not maternity jeans. These jeans are made to compress and how you in and in shape. Try D&C's How Comfy Jeans. I think they have a panel to accomodate a tummy.

So, after this conversation, I thought I would check out NYDJ.com. It's been a long time since I browsed around. The tops are pretty pricey too. I did not pay full price for my NYDJ and never will but I wanted to compare them to the DreamJeannes leggings I recently bought. I like my DJ leggings better and $46 beats $144 any day of the week. My DJ leggings in black are 95% cotton and 4% spandex which I like much better in terms of durability, breathability (is that a word) and control. The NYDJ leggings in black are 59% cotton, 20% rayon, 13% modal and 2% lycra. By my math that leaves 6% unaccounted for. But what the hey...lol Not enoough control for me and the rayon and modal might make them softer but I think it also makes them less durable. If I pay $144 for jeans leggings, I want them to last for years. They seem similar to DG jeans with are stretcy but don't last long, according to my friends.
