If you buy them as gift for someone else, I recommend keeping a gift receipt. My experience is that they don't work very well. They make your finger larger, which doesn't really work well for typing on a small screen keyboard. As @Abrowneyegirl mentioned, the leather gloves are better, but if the gloves don't fit well and the fingers of the glove are too long, they don't work well, either. I found them very frustrating.

I much prefer fingerless convertible gloves. They are fingerless gloves that have a mitten flap that pulls over the fingers when needed. The good ones also have a thumb tip "hood" that pulls back to leave your thumb free to touch the screen. I am able to text as well with my gloves on than with them off. When I'm fnished, I pull the hoods back over and my fingers are inside. The flap has either a button or a magnet to keep it from flopping around when it's pulled back.

One issue with these kinds of gloves is that they aren't as warm as others. I live in an area that doesn't really get colder than the upper 20s and the coldest I've ever worn them outside was 27 degrees and I was happy with them. More often, it's in the 40s during the day.

If you live in a place that gets very cold, they may not be warm enough if it gets lower than the 30s on a regular basis.

I have a few different pairs of these gloves. One works great, and the others are so frustrating that I just pull off my glove! One thing to consider is that the tips of the finger/thumb are a different material, and that particular fingertip tends to get icy cold on me.
