Breezie presentation

Now I love Breezies and that is all I wear (and I am not a prude either) But do we really need to have the Breezie model in a pair of slacks that are just barely hip hugging and her navel hanging out to see the bra.

If you feel I am wrong I will listen but I just don't think it is necessary.

At least she had clothes on.

I do like Breezies. I bought one bra from the AS IS section and then liked it so much I came back for another one in CLEARANCE. I usually buy my bras somewhere else (online--onehaynesplace. But these Breezies are just as nice.

I am just glad if the younger generations have clothes on. I am definitely not a prude but I do believe in leaving something to the imagination. In the summer, at the grocery store especially, you saw more skin than clothes on all sexes. Tops that exposed the braless breasts as they raised their arms, butt cheeks hanging out of shorts and pants so low you might see the plumbers crack without bending over. So far it has not been cold enough to encourage coverage. It is not just the college students. I don't watch daytime soaps or many movies but their ads show more skin than Breezies. I guess I have given up on modesty in our country. I have been reminded that some countries wear little or nothing. I don't live in "some" countries.

It's your opinion, opinions can't be wrong. Personally, I see nothing wrong with the human body. I wouldn't care if they come on stark naked. It's a body, we all have one.

May I take this in another direction? I could not believe the excess eye makeup on the Breezies Mom today. Facially she looked ready for Halloween. Any why appear in what is obviously evening wear on a Saturday morning tv show. Further, the daughter who did the close up with the model has had a very obvious surgical procedure of which she seems extremely proud. Sorry if this seems snarky, but the appearances today were very extreme IMHO. Usually these women look lovely.

I absolutely agree. Think all this makeup, etc. does nothing but emphasize the Mom's age.

OMG, I find the eye make-up on the mom and the daughters as well to be absolutely ghoulish! When one of the QVC hostesses in particular, who also indulges too heavily in the eye make-up (and who shall remain nameless) appears w/the mother it's like looking at two scary halloween ghouls.

In my opinion, you are not wrong. I was also watching this morning and felt that seeing the model with her "outie" navel up close was a little much. Maybe a little decorum would be nice for a change.

@Perkup I noted in a thread last week that the whole Gendel troupe look like clowns, but you're right, mama's makeup is over the top. It just emphasizes her age, drags her face down. Nothing worse than heavy black eyeliner on an older woman, and hers is especially prominent. I can no longer watch them.

@Bookbabe I agree with you, and I don't particularly care if I'm called a prude. And no, I wouldn't be happy seeing naked people on TV, either. I find all that expanse of skin offensive, esp that one Breezies model (not Jenna).

I'm going to change the direction again.

I think that people who have the time to make mean spirited comments about people on television shows might benefit themselves more by getting another hobby.

What one wears on any part of one's body is strictly a personal matter.

Were we to get a look at some of the insulting posters, we might be able to find some things to object to also, but hopefully we would NOT feel the need to make them public.

I'm assuming that I'm entitled to post that OPINION along with all the frivolously negative ones, right?

My mother critiqued the looks of just about every person she ever saw on tv. From football players to Miss America going down the runway. I have never understood why. Yes, it was unpleasant to listen to and embarrassing to listen to.

But everybody's got to have a hobby I guess. You'll never stop the people that do that I don't think. I just wonder if they ever stop to think about what people who do that are saying about THEM? That's the disconnect for me. . . LOL!!!

Thank you all for your insight. Some agreed with me, some not and some brought up a different topic. I feel the way I feel and it is not right or wrong.

However, I will keep my opinions to myself from now on because it takes all of us to make the world go round.

It is hard enough for many of us just to get through some days and giving off negativity does not help. Sooooo You all helped bring me back to a less judgemental state.

Yes, if you looked at me on television you would doubtless find many things to complain about. I'm old, I'm shrinking, I'm a bit wrinkled (but I love my laugh lines and I've earned all my wrinkles), I'm a little round about the

mid section, and I have lots of spider veins - probably a lot more flaws if I could see myself from other angles.

BUT I don't go on national television overly made up and inappropriately dressed. If I did, I'd consider myself fair game for anyone with an honest

opinion. So if I choose to say that someone on television is wearing so much

eye makeup that they look ready for Halloween, or that they are wearing what is clearly evening wear on a Saturday morning sales presentation, I feel I have every right to say so. Sorry if you don't agree. It's why the ice cream companies make more than one flavor.
