Cold Shoulder Tops

I may be in the minority, but I just can't get behind these tops or dresses with cold shoulders. Honestly, I haven't seen one person on TV (thick or thin) that look good in these. Haven't seen anyone in my area either. I thought for sure they would be out of style by now. I purchased one when they first became "popular", put it on and couldn't get it off fast enough and back in the mail.

I agree! I am not against bare shoulders, I think strapless is a pretty look on most women. When I see the cold shoulder look I feel as if something is missing! Sorry, not a fan!

I'm just "meh" on them. I haven't seen anything I loved that happened to be cold shoulder as well.

I think some of them, along with split sleeve tops, are very pretty. I like that I can be showing some skin but it's just shoulders. Those still look good on me. LOL

Some of them are too exaggerated and I don't care for them. I also don't care for the ones that are on a more fitted top or dress and there is just a hole on each side where the shoulder is cut out. That looks odd to me.

I like some of them and some I don't like. I like split sleeve tops better.

I'm ambivalent about them. Some look fine, other styles do not. Again a matter of personal choice. So far I haven't seen any leather tops or dresses with them. Might change my mind if I did.

I don't care for them at all. I've never seen any that I liked.

I rarely see them but I can say I've seen them at work & my first thought was that the top was not appropriate for the work place.

I don't have a problem with them and I own one. My husband actually complimented me on it but I think it feels funny LOL and this from someone who never wear sleeves!

To me the cold-shoulder design says "seductress". I think it's okay for the bedroom or in other intimate situations. I'm not a prude, but I think I'd reserve the look for something more private rather than wearing it in public.

I have a funny story...

I attended a wedding where there was a young woman guest who wore this dress that had a "racing-stripe" of no fabric along each side of her dress where you could see skin along each side of her torso. Later that night at the reception people were secretly commenting about how inappropriate the dress was. The young woman over-heard some of the comments, came over and said: "It's just the sides of my belly, get over it" and walked away.

My point is that some people consider some parts okay to show and others don't. btw, I do own a few cold-shoulder tops, but only wear them to nightime parties.

I think a bare strip running down the side of your torso while not necessarily racy is much sexier than shoulders. Bare shoulders are fine for the office, bare ribcage not so much

i think they look great on lots of women......and pretty much every body type. as they say, "shoulders always look good!"

i dont see it as exposing anything more than you would in a strapless dress, a tank, or even a spaghetti strap top.

I am not a trendy person, but if you look at trend reports, such tops are on the way out.

I've said the same thing many times, so boy do I agree and if you're in the minority, then so am I. Anyone who thinks the look is flattering is deluding themselves. Sorry, but that's my opinion.
