So, I've been surfing the net (checking out the Q's overseas sites) and low and behold there is HSN's Diane Gilman and her jeans. Styles are similar on the UK site and not nearly as many offerings as HSN US.

There is one commonality among the two sites though: Diane Gilman's jeans are ****** in the UK and they are ****** in the US. I sat and read the same kinds of comments about fit; sizing inconsistencies and more. I did not read anything about the chemical smell that comes from her pants sold in the US though, so that has me thinking the UK won't allow these chemicals in their garments, but she can get away with it for her US market.

Welp,I want to know why the two biggest shopping channels keep her employed with those jeans?

I like DG jeans. They are one of the few brands that works for me. I've never had any problem with odors from her jeans either.

Hi itiswhatitis!

A friend of our's works on one of the docks on the west coast.

He said, It is the law, that any clothes made outside the United States that are coming into our country (The USA) everything is sprayed. They are very heavely sprayed before leaving their country say China, before it is even placed onto a cargo ship.

He told my husband and I, to wash EVERYTHING before ever wearing. He said your would be surprised the chemicals that they use.

I keep telling my friends this but I don't think they believe me. I do wash everything before I wear it.

Only problem I have wit DG jeans (original) not Super Stretch is

after a few months the waist stretches out. I have to have them

taken in, cost $18. Rest of the pants the fine something with

the elastic in the waistband. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, but I find that her waistbands in general run too big for me. So I always buy her jeans and jeggings with belt loops. Otherwise I'm constantly pulling them up.

Yes, this is true.

Outsource the clothing manufacturing to increase unemployment in the USA and spray the clothes because there are all sorts of horrible deadly things overseas and then no one wants to wear them and many can't because the pesticides make them ill. Go team USA. lol

Just got my first pair of DG jeans in the mail on Friday. I have never tried any of her products before. I followed the advice of others and went one size down and they fit perfect. These are the superstretch skinny jeans in petite length. I am always thrilled when I don't have to hem anything. I am super sensitive to smells and didn't smell anything on taking them out of the bag. If I stick my nose right up to it now I can smell a slight smell but nothing horrible. (Not doubting anyone as I have definitely gotten some items with strong smells through Internet ordering before, but just no bad smell in this case.). I haven't worn the pants yet so I can't comment on how they will wear or if the waist will stretch out, but my first impression is good.

I have the opposite problem with her original fabric...go figure...after a while of washing/drying, the waist either shrinks or losses it's stretch (it's probably not a good idea for me to put them in the dryer LOL).

DG's entire collection from day one has been a trial of sizing inconsistencies...I "take a chance" very infrequently anymore.

I have a lot of DG2 jeans. My favorite are the Elliott jeans from a month or so ago. Last month's Iman TS wowed me, so she has some competition with me.

I did order some of the DG2 ponte jackets from her last TS. I usually get my items quickly from HS, but they are STILL processing (I think I ordered them 10 days ago). She must have taken the orders and then asked the factory to start working on them. Has anyone received a jacket yet?
