As I've said S&H is more for out of Conus. I am going through my closet and donating tops when I come to recent purchases, both Denim & Co. One is the button blouse with lace sleeves. Snags easily The other is a sharkbite waffle top that seems to stretch way too easy. I already toss the bags so am thinking of just donating instead of finding bags to return, for just dollars. Such a waste.

It seems like they are over 30 days so how could you return them? Or could you tell they snag and stretch just by looking at them? If you can return them, why wouldn't you? The price of those tops would certainly exceed whatever you would pay to return them?

I've worn both just once, that is how I know they snag or stretch. I would need to buy a bg. It costs more for me to receive or return from Alaska.

Alaska, ok. But would the cost of returning them really be more than the cost of the items? If the item is as shoddy as you say, I don't think I would want t pass them along to another woman. Especially one who is financially challenged and would want wearable clothing. I donate a lot of clothing but I do respect the women who will eventually own those things. My rule is, if it's something I would not wear myself or give to a dear friend, I won't donate it.

I wouldn't care if my net refund was $2.00 I would still return the items. Some money in my pocket is better than no money in my pocket. BEsides keeping poor quality merchandise simply encourages QVC to produce more poor quality merchandise.

I know what you're saying, that you'd need to find a bag to send them back in. I'd find one bag and send them both back in one package and use one of the pre printed labels. I always save the bag till I'm sure I'm keeping. Believe me, I understand it's a hassle and I'm in the lower 48!

After keeping way too many items, I've learned to return them even if only a few dollars. I look at things in my closet and am angry at myself for keeping. Now, I just figure get rid of it -- it's better than seeing in my closet for any length of time. This makes me very very careful when shopping to not make mistakes.

I donate very nice clothes that I've enjoyed but not worn a lot.

I agree, I will return just so QVC knows it has unhappy customers, if it is a bad fit.

In order to return, you will probably go into a Post Office or UPS store to drop off. You can always pick up a packing bag or box from them. The couple of dollars for the box/bag + return shipping costs is still much lower than the combined total of the tops.

I understand that the OP is in Alaska, so that adds a dimension to the query.

I just wanted to comment that I get so...bothered? Annoyed? Upset? All too strong of words, but I definitely take notice when somebody comments in a review that they wore an item, so now they are stuck with it and can't return! I want so badly to be able to respond to them and say they can return! Regardless of how many times the hosts say it, so many people apparently don't understand that you can wear it multiple times in that 30 day period. I know, not relevant to post at hand!

Getting back to the OP, I would still be inclined to return. If it's a quality issue, would QVC reimburse for shipping? I don't think I've tried this before; maybe look at reviews to see if these are known issues?

I know its a hassle to package and return, but I say return and dont to forget to post your online review so others will know the quality was not so good.

Only you can make that decision because I would have no idea how much more expensive it is to ship something back in Alaska.

I recently ordered a lunchtime special top that was $11.00. I had decided from the start if it didn't fit, I didn't like it, etc., I would just donate it because by the time I packaged it back up, took it to a mailbox and they deducted the s/h plus I paid the return postage, it wasn't worth the hassle. As it turns out, the top is okay so I'm keeping it.

Most things I return. And I also returned that same lace sleeved top. My bad for not paying attention. I thought that was a knit body with lace sleeves. That wasn't the material I was expecting because I just didn't pay close attention. That top would have been cute in a knit, IMO.

You can return an item to QVC after 30 days IF the item is still in stock. You will receive merchandise credit only, not back to your CC, minus original s/h.

I never return with Qs label unless the item is heavy. I return multiples (clothing) in the same bag with my own label for less. I also bought Fed Ex Return Saver the one day it was half price earlier this year ($30.00) Has more than paid for itself and returns are credited much faster than shipping by USPS.

@traveler, even if you are not using the original package for the return, you can still use the QVC prepaid return label. Look up the order in your order history and click return. There should be a prompt to print the QVC label. If it's less expensive to use that label rather than paying the postage yourself that's what I would do.

You might want to check with your donation center. I asked Goodwill once what they do with the items they don't want. And they told me that they are carted off in bulk by a big truck to somewhere else. I don't know who eventually gets it. But Goodwill emphatically told me that to donate everything. The workers can decide what to do with it.

I've considered moving to Alaska or Hawaii and I always think about the increased costs of goods and services when I do. That's definitely a factor for me.

Ultimately, it depends on your time, your financial situation, and how often it happens. If it's two tops, I know I'd be more inclined to donate rather than deal with the additional shipping fees, especially if I also needed to go buy packing materials.
