Why are many of you assuming Jackie chooses to come out that way?

The Q has an extensive production crew so I'm quite sure there are more than enough eyes back stage pulling the garments and directing the models.

They also, clearly, have their measurements (they give them to us!)

Just pay attention (STYLISTS) before the girls walk on to the set and in front of the cameras! If the samples don't fit one model you put it on another! Easy peasy!

I think Jackie is pretty much always dressed less attractively than the other models. They put her in stripes or too many ruffles and pants that clash with the tops. Poor stylists.

If you're a size 2 or 4, it shouldn't be a turn off. There is no comparing yourself with someone that is 5'9 and a size 16. (Actually, they sometimes put her in a 14. These are Q size 14s, which are humungous. Even the 12s are big. Vanity sizing. But Jackie is a very pretty lady.

Here's the thing: she is a plus size model who really isnt plus size. They don't use 3x size women, understand? If you're not going to be there to try on the clothes, the best Q can do is present a variety of sizing.

I have a curvy body and I am glad that they show Jackie. That way I don't buy something that looks frumpy or ugly on a curvy body. Money saved! There are other places to shop, after all.

Jackie is taller than average and they usually say she wears a 14. She is one of the few models that even comes close to the average size woman. I look at her to try and judge for myself. I am 5' 4" and XL. It used to be if it was tight on her and I could guess the length per charts I could be safe by sizing up 1 size. That is no longer true. That is also because sizing is so inconsistent and not true to charts. You can buy 2 identical pieces that are different colors and they have different measurements. I seldom buy any more but do trust Louis and Issac. I have many of their pieces. They last a long time so my purchases from them are down only because I am retired thus not needing much. If I watch their shows I know I am in trouble. I often see something different and I buy.

Just a nightmare.

Isaac, asked her "what size are U wearing darling"? she said 14 his face registered maybe you should go back and get an 18. How he keeps his mouth shut is anybodys guess.

She's more the average woman. I'm 5'5 and a L in most clothes 'cept for Isaac's and go up to XL in his stuff because he doesn't allow for a ample bust. She should know to size up in some lines on the Q

It seems silly to put models whatever their size in the wrong size clothing. It's not about their vanity, but about the customer who can't try on getting an idea of how it looks and fits. And too tight clothing makes everyone look fat, no matter their size.

Nothing to do if the clothing is unflattering in the correct size. If it looks bad on the model, pretty sure it will look worse on me.

Jackie has a difficult body to style. She does not have womanly curves, but rather is very rectangular. If a body is slim and rectangular it is easy to style--think long and lean. Unfortunately, a larger body has more styling challenges. In order for a garment to fit in circumference, the shoulders become too big, the sleeves become too long, thereby making the garment look sloppy. I believe this is why stylists choose garments that err on the side of being too small.

Clearly some models and hosts need to have ready to wear items altered for a good fit.

Not sure what being a size 2-4 has to do with it being a turn off or not. No one looks good in ill fitting clothes regardless of size. It does seem like QVC doesn't pay attention to how the items fit the models and the hosts aren't any better.

Incidentally, I'm a size 2-4 but my opinion isn't based on that nor do I think it is good to be this size necessarily.

I don't really think QVC has any true plus size. They aren't any around. In the fashion world, plus size is 12-14. They did have one, Tess Holiday who is close to (or over) 300 lbs with a skinny face. But she was a one off joke (from Mississippi yet) and has not been getting any offers or in print lately.
