Shoulder Pads Anyone?

Have any of you purchased shoulder pads online? I have small shoulders and need the pads for a little extra height. I'm not talking about the ones that look like football pads and I don't like the foam ones because the tab breaks off too quickly. Unfortunately the Q doesn't have the ones I like so I'm looking for help here. Any suggestions? tia

I am always looking to replace the shoulder pads that Kathleen Kirkwood once sold on QVC; there have been a few new threads regarding various sites that sell shoulder pads now but not sure if the sites still carry them; I have not found the smaller pads that I need; they certainly can make a difference in how your clothes look on you!

There was a similar thread about shoulder pads a while ago. I ordered the small shoulder pads from this site and I love them. Got them in three colors.

Lindsays...I always wear shoulder pads. I am a curvy petite and shoulder pads just balance out my hips and give me a better shape. I have a huge assortment of different colors and different shapes/sizes of shoulder pads, the best of which are from HSN's old Storybook Knits sweaters. They have a velcro strip already sewn on the top. Whenever I get a new article of clothing--top, dress, sweater--the first thing I do is sew in a piece of the opposite velcro in the shoulder seam. When I get dressed, I just attach a shoulder pad from my collection. They never move and come out of place.

I could never make the shoulder pads that attach to your bra strap work for me. They never stayed where they belong. I've had some of KK pads and "converted" them for my use by removing the velcro on them and sewing it on top of the pad instead. Does any of this make sense?

Nana5, yes it make sense but I am not a sewer so it wouldn't work for me.

There are only a few things I actually like about my body, one is square shoulders...however, I am always liking a jacket or top with a little additional padding. I have a cami that has the small pads built in. I bought it from the Q eons ago but I certainly have worn it when I thought I needed it. Thanks for the Jo Ann Fabrics tip. That store is all over the place and I have never been in one, I thought they just sold material and thread and zippers, stuff like that. Yeah, I'm not a sewer.

I'm a girl who rocked Kathleen Kirkwood's shoulder pads in the 80's and have been in love with them ever since. My figure and clothing looks so much better with just a little padding. If you notice most of the Linea jackets have a slight shoulder pad to help the garment hang properly on the body. Thank you for the extra resources on the pads, I will also try the sight

I think I need some for certain cardigans. I think the Q should start offering them again. Just keep them small and inexpensive and give us a way to attach them to things we already own.

The small 3.5x4.5 are perfect. They are SP6022 ( the number only shows up when you click the picture).

Someone posted camis with shoulder pads built in sold at shopnational. com The camis don't look snug enough not to show though.

Years ago I had one I loved (Robinson - May) made of stretch lace and the pads were removable. I wish I could find another one.

colliegirls...thanks so much. I'll order one and if I like it I'll order a few more. If Kathleen Kirkwood would bring back her Pints Of Pads I and a lot of other women would be very happy.
