Why?????? There is no rule that says one should dress like Uncle Sam on July 4 th. It's okay if you want to but honestly it can be forced and silly.

Katie and Pat both had on black and white. Mary Beth had blue and white.

Jill is wearing fuchsia and green.

I'm no fan of Jill's but in this instance, good for her... Past a point, the whole red, white and blue color scheme gets a bit trite...

Besides, it appears she's selling Christmas ornaments and the pretty silver and blue piece she's wearing in the picture seems to fit right in with what she's doing.

I have to agree with this. I grew up in the military -- moving every two years as a result. I feel my family sacrificed a lot for this country and I'm proud of that. But the reason my dad put himself in harm's way was to ensure people could do what they want to do. I have a couple of not-over-the-top Americana items but my pride for this country is worn inside. Jill should dress as she pleases.

To you, but maybe not to others... Choice of attire is personal and many folks elect not to wear color combinations they don't favor, that they feel don't flatter them or that they feel have been over-done to the point of being more or less a cliche...

I'm not bothered by the fact that she doesn't have on red, white and blue today. I will say, however, that she and MariLynn sure do clash on the Philosophy show! Red vs fuschia!

Oh, for goodness sake. Here we go again. Putting someone down for the sheer folly or sport of it. Really, is it really important to note what someone is or isn't wearing? What does it matter in the grand scheme. Honest to Pete. Such judgment of the hosts all the time. If they sneeze, it's wrong. If they don't sneeze it's wrong.

Here are the important things in my life right now. I think my father is dying..... Literally. I've been sick for a week, really sick, and the antibiotics aren't cutting it. I feel wretched and can't give into the illness because of things I need and want to do for my dad. My husband isn't well. I had one hour sleep last night because of the fireworks behind us that went on till 5 this morning. And I also have a wretched headache because of the lack of sleep, for the third straight day.

For The record, I AM wearing red, white and blue today if anyone cares. So I could be dressed correctly during my one hour out for lunch that I couldn't even taste.

@Krimpette- thanks. I didn't mean to go off on such a tangent here. I love posting on these boards. They provide great entertainment for me. But some of the stuff we do as a people, not just here, is just so petty and nonsense. And you how all that stuff seems so unimportant when you're dealing with stuff. It's like who cares??? Someone on a Facebook page I belong to was complaining today about the neighborhood pool being so crowded today. Really?? THAT's an important thing? A poor kid got his foot blown off in Central Park yesterday. Now, that's important. Not what someone is or isn't wearing. Or if the pool is crowded or the grocery store was out of corn.
