IS THIS DRESS APPROPRIATE FOR A WEDDING?

I'd like to wear this dress to wedding in June. Do you think it would be appropriate. It's ivory and I don't want to compete with the bride. But it's such a pretty dress!

it's pretty! I'd wear it for sure but not a huge fan of the short hem.

it is a gorgeous dress, but it being ivory and lace, i would avoid wearing it to someone elses wedding.

If you love it wear it. You could accessorize it with color.

I've worn ivory and even white (gasp) to weddings and have never been mistaken for the bride. I read of my faux pas here.

I would wear colored accessories. A big statement necklace would be lovely.

I love the dress. It's just the style I like. Don't know about wearing it to a wedding. Maybe as someone else said, wear something colored with it. It is lovely though!

I would wear it to my own wedding but not as a guest. The combo of lace and ivory looks bridal.

I've seen the brides dress and it's gorgeous! Definitely looks nothing like her gown.

In that a bride could use it as her gown for a less formal wedding, I wouldn't, although it is lovely.

I would extend the length of the lining unless I was young.

I'd want to wear it, too. But not to a wedding.

A lot of the old rules about weddings have been relaxed (black is worn at weddings - even by bridesmaids!). But a guest wearing a white dress? Not so much. A white, lacy dress might be a distraction or take attention from the bride.

I do remember Pippa Middleton wearing white at her sister's wedding. But she was in the wedding party and obviously had the bride's approval.
