Quacker Factory Clothes

I love Jeanne's clothes and have bought many in the past. Now that I'm on a fixed income, her clothes are too expensive.

My husband passed away last April and before that we had more income. I wish QF would bring out some of their clothes that are less expensve for those of us on a fixed income. I know someone will say the quality would not be the same but I'm sure the clothes would be nice.

The clothes I do have of Jeanne's wear so well but I'd like one or two new pieces. Just wondering if anyone else felt this way.

Prices on all of QVC'S clothing has seen a marked increase in the past year. When they changed the shipping rates, they jacked up prices. I think most people are not buying as much as they once did. You might look for Quacker 2-fer specials and also check the clearance and "as is" sections.

I to would like to see some clothes that are less money I am a widow also so we do have to watch our pennies I have notice alot of clothing has gone up even D&C which a brand I have always like

Does anybody remember when Quacker Factory put a small design on the backs of their garments? The back carried the same theme as the front and it was small enough to just add a bit of interest to the back.

I dont see see that anymore.

I do do like how Angel shows different coordinating possibilities. She's given some good suggestions.

@CoraVette Some of ther items still do have a design on the back, although you are right, not as many tas there used to be. I recently picked up A261717 in navy as a lunchtime special when it was a great price (BTW - you ladies should watch for QF on LTS when the prices are drastically reduced). If you watch the video of this product the back design is shown. From the description:

@Pokeynose So very sorry about the loss of your husband. It must have been a tough year. Deepest condolences as you approach the first anniversary of his passing.

Be be sure to search for "quacker factory as is" for lower prices. If you are not pleased, they are returnable.

Thank you happygal. It has been a tough year. We were married amost 59 yrs., met when we were l7 but waited until his senior year in college to get married.

@Pokeynose I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope you are doing okay. I like QF too and I've ordered a couple of tops for the summer and the quality is excellent. Try typing "Quacker Clearance" in the search box and you should find some nice items at reduced prices. Also, I have had really good luck with "as is" purchases. I hope you are able to get a new Quacker piece soon

Pokeynose, I also feel the same way. I am on disability but I do manage to buy a couple pieces a year. I just have to watch the price and be very particular about what I decide to buy.....for example....I buy pieces I would wear several times a month versus just at a fancy function or holiday only clothes. I also watch for easy pay items so you can make several payments versus paying for it all at once. But I agree with you whole heartedly. Their prices are just too much and I've had to go to other shopping networks that offer this type of clothing. I am so glad I am not the only one that feels this way.

I try to buy the items when they are on easy pay. I only buy their tee shirts. I love the different themes they have on them. I agree the prices are very high for their collection but I have tee shirts that I have had for over 5 years. They wash and wear very well so I guess you get what you pay for. I have one tee shirt that has dogs as a theme and says Love Dogs. This is the cutest tee shirt.

You could also try the Karen Scott, Charter Club, & Alfred Dunner brands from Macys when they have a sale. They have a few embellished and QF-like tops in their collections. Some have a neckline or hem treatment while others have a larger design on the top. I saw a cute blue one with a sailboat and a striped one with a lace yoke.

Dear Pokeynose: Want you to know that I grieve with you over the loss of your dear husband. I must be about your age but lost mine when I was 37 yrs old. It is indeed an experience no body should have to go through but at least there is some help out there these days. If you haven't been on Widow's site you may benefit from that....ladies there have much in common and you would be welcomed.

I also have a limited income but when I would like to add something to my wardrobe I immediately go to LAST CLICKS or AS IS sites. Have always been pleased with my purchases from either of these places which include all sorts of items.

God bless you, dear. You will get through this trial one day at a time and some day will be able to help others who are going through the same dark journey.

Jeanne passed away a while ago, so you shouldn't call them Jeanne's clothes. She isn't showing up for work anymore...lol The prices are what you find, if not a little less expensive, at stores like Chicos and J Jill and Soft Surroundings. Stores that cater to the middle aged, middle income woman. I'm sitting here watching Evine now and I've made several purchases in the past few weeks. Their clothing is less expensive than QVC and HSN and the things I bought are well made, nice fabrics and they fit well. If Qvc is too expensive for you now, you might do better at Evine. I'm looking at Evine because I fell in love with a QF cropped denim jacket in a nice summer red but I don't want to pay $50 for it and then have to shell out another $40 for top or tee to wear with it. I'm hoping to find a jean jacket/tank combo at Evine. I know they have them for around $40. I don't know if they offer them in red.

I watched the QF show today And don,t know who the host was, but she was awul, poor Angel had to put up will her stupidiness. She didn,t know what Angel meant by the word britches,(sp?)as in pants. She was annoying.
