Dillard's New Year sale?

I haven't seen any mention of the traditional big sale on New Year's Day, and haven't gotten any email notifications. Anyone know if it is going to take place this year? Last year I had to stay up very late to place an order online. I don't want to stay up for nothing. Thanks!

I wish Dillards offered free ship. I buy little from them due to the lack of free shipping.

I wish we had a Dillards here in Indy. There's one 2 hours away and one in Cincinnati. The only time I buy is on a day like today when they have extra off the sale. I saw a few things online that are a great deal for today, but I certainly do not need them and I don't like the no free ship.

I went to take a look but their site is down?? Why would I have to wait for another customer to check out before I can start shopping. Very odd!! I certainly don't need anything so it's all good Happy new year everyone!

That is odd but I guess its better than the site crashing or as in the case of Lord and Taylor slowing to a crawl.

I agree about no free shipping being a disincentive. How spoiled I've become!

I was able to get an EF item I'd been admiring all season for a nice price. The first time I tried, I received a message the item was no longer available. Hours later it was still pictured so I tried again. The deep discount more than made up for the cost of shipping. Here we do not pay tax on clothing and it is my understanding that most, if not all, B&M Dillard'sare located in states that charge sales tax on clothing.

they have a lot of great prices on shoes online; there is nothing left at the stores usually in my size so I always have good luck online; right now the site is so overloaded you have to wait to check out, just like in the store!

Thanks Magic! I just tried again and can't even look at anything or click on any category beyond that first screen telling me to wait so as not to lose my place or refresh the browser while others check out. Maybe it's my iPad?? Oh well...

Debbie, that happened to me when I went back for the 2nd time. If you have time and can wait it out, you will be automatically directed to the site. There are some deals to be had!

I got three pairs of shoes by my favorite designer @ Dillard's (Gianni Binni - D's is the only store I've ever seen his items) for the price of one pair at regular price - even with the shipping!!

ETA: I used Ebates & my D's card, so earned cash back & points towards my next discount @ D's.

Darn, Win the links aren't working. I went to the site earlier and couldn't get on......ridiculous. I can't believe their website would be so poorly designed that they can't handle the traffic. Really frustrating! Is this a server problem? They really need to hire competent IT people to fix these issues.

I have to drive over to Ulta later anyway, so I may stop in at the one here and see what they have. I'm not really looking for anything for myself but would like to pick up a few things for DD.

Vince Camuto winchell and Timba--We don't have Dillards here Amp or I'd go there myself. The largest size they have left in Winchell is 7.5. I don't know what you wear. I just checked online and got in.
