topic cardigan sizing question in Fashion

I bought the tsv cardigan with roses A234401 in my usual size. It fit a tad bit tight, especially the arms. So when I ordered the boyfriend animal print cardigan A225555 I went up a size. It's a tad bit roomy, many too much. Are IM cardigans sized similarly? Can I use this experience as a guide?
