I'm kind of amazed at the comments about Jill Martin on this board. For goodness sakes, she's good enough to be a regular on the Today Show, but, according to some of you, she knows nothing about fashion. Take a look in Vogue or InStyle and you will see loads of camo for this fall, both abstract and literal. I can't imagine how hard it must have been for her to take over for Lisa R. who was beloved by many QVC viewers. Remember that Jill does business in NYC where, other than LA, fashion is generally a season or so ahead of the rest of the country. I'm rooting for Jill to be successful with the GILI line, especially the purses!

I'm certainly no fashion expert, but I know how to tie a belt. She has no clue about fashion. It will be interesting to see what happens to GILI next year, once Lisa's input is over.

I posted on Jill's facebook that since she has taekn over the GILI prices have skyrocketed. She responded that they were "working on it."

She has no clue about anything and has no personality at all, she is just so dull and boring. I just cannot watch her. She certainly can never fill Lisa's shoes, that's for sure. All the Gili prices have gone up since she came to be the Gili rep. And enough already with that Obie belt! Every time she's on she's showing that belt. When she first presented it wasn't it priced about $10 lower? Now it's gone up that much In a month? QVC really needs someone more knowledgeable, personable and sophisticated to represent the Gili line and lower the prices or its going to go downhill real fast.

I have no problem with her. As far as the Obi belt, the camera did not zoom in sufficiently. I do not purchase from GILI because it seems geared more for younger women. I think that Ms. Martin is trying and Lisa Robertson is a hard act to follow.

Isn't the point to show that there are lots of ways to tie the obi? I love wide belts and really get tired of all the criticism about Jill doing her job by wearing the items for sale. The stylists probably try out different ways to tie it. Sorry you are tired of seeing the obi belts, but I am sure there are others who don't mind seeing them. If they are still in stock, then new viewers might appreciate seeing them.

The irony is that both Lisa R. who must have had imput into the obi belt and Jill who has been selling this endlessly since March do not look good in this wide belt. Why? Because both have a large bustline. Most women who have a large bustline also tend to be short waisted and the belt cuts you in half and emphasizes that there isn't a lot of space between the bust and waist and that is not a good look, IMO.

Think about it...where does the obi belt originate? In Japan where the obi sash is used to fasten a kimono where large bustlines aren't that common.

Calvin Klein brought the obi belt in fashion in the 1970s but they were shown on slim women models with long torsos.

Totally agree that there must be a whole cattle herd of them - now all but S/XS (supposedly) sold out - with launch of yet another style in '16. How fortunate for us!?

I relate to Jill's confidence, but in my (humble?) opinion, she doesn't exude the presentation one would think warranted for upscale (as GILI is suppose to be), especially the constant camo pannts! Perhaps since whenever she's on - GILI promos - she says she has only couple hrs sleep, they're good for her to sleep in. In fashion/stye, they are so yesterday!) Obi belts are good on ebay - even some advertised as GILI. Meanwhile, enough already of leather coats for this southern Cali ol' crone! I have BB fm yr before last never worn...too warm here! (Not boasting...had job tfr - as native Floridian - to MN where I lived 15 yrs), so've done pentence! LOL)
