Maxi skirts and maxi dresses are extremely popular where I live and everywhere I've visited lately. Every retailer is selling them, at all price points. Women love them and are definitely wearing them.

They're definitely popular around here. I see them everywhere, from church to the grocery store. A maxi feels so cool in our hot, humid weather!

Very popular here in Chicago. I ordered two of the Maxi's they have as their TTV today last night and then this morning after looking in my closet I decided I had to cancel them. I have soooo many maxi dresses as it is. They are kinda like potato chips for me.

I don't really care how other people dress and if I liked maxi dresses, I would wear them more but I don't see them a lot around here except at showers and graduation parties now.

I did attend a graduation party Saturday and there wasn't one maxi. Lots of dresses but they were all above the knee. I never see anyone in a maxi grocery shopping or even while I'm shopping and running around on the weekends.

I don't think they are appropriate for many work environments as I find there to be a real casualness to them if they are a true, to the floor maxi. Evine does way too many at a top value. It's just about all they've offered as a TTV over the last couple of months.

i have been buying maxi skirts and maxi dresses for the past 5 years or so. i love them! cool and comfortable, i can wear them to work, to shop, to go out to dinner, to just do errands. love the look and love how you pretty much dont have to do a lot of thinking, especially with a dress. all you have to do is add your jewelry, find a shoe, and you can be out the door quickly.

I see other women wearing them in my city, but not that much. I actually saw more of them last summer. Personally, I prefer a knee legnth dress. I don't own any maxi dresses or skirts.

At this point, I would not invest heavily in them if I were following trend. They have been around now for several years and it seems it is about time for them to go the way of the Edsel. Of course, those of us who love them will continue to wear them but if you are doing it for trend, I would say "don't." I think they may be on the way out. As soon as everybody is seeing them and everybody is selling them, it's time to change for economic reasons. The economy is built on our liking the new thing on the block.

I love to travel with maxi dresses. They take up very little space in a suitcase and let you go from museums to restaurants to cathedrals without feeling under or overdressed.

I too love and wear maxi dresses not maxi skirts so much; although where I live there is not a day that goes by I don't see women wearing maxi dresses or skirts. I guess depending on your office environment or lifestyle but they will always be popular I've seen them at weddings, the theatre, movies, church you name it.

I love them and have worn them for approx. 25 years. They kind of go in and out of fashion here; last year I saw a lot of them, this year--not so much, yet! But I wear them very frequently.

L I can wear them as a maxi now and when the trend passes ,if they are still nice, I can cut them off and hem to knee length.

Love maxi dresses and maxi skirts. I have several. They are not going out of style anytime soon.
