She was on Dr. Oz yesterday and gave a great interview. She talked about her weight and other issues. She had a physical and everything is fine. Her weight loss is attributed to taking Tamoxifen, which she has to take for 10 years, following her cancer treatment. She wants to have another baby, and her doctor told her she could have her eggs harvested while taking the medication, and the embryos should be ok. She also talked about adoption. I like her hair now that its back to her natural color. I'm glad she's ok!

Happen to be switching channels and caught her comment as to why the back shot of her at the awards show seemed to indicate anorexia--- she had surgery for severe scoliosis and that causes her shoulder blades to protrude. I wonder why she chooses to wear clothing that causes folks to think she's anorexic???

I am glad she is O.K., too.

You make a good point. Yes, it is her prerogative to wear what she likes, but she does seem to favor things that really show her thin arms, back, etc. I guess the medication mentioned above has something to do with it, but I am sure she likes being very thin.

I have a friend that takes that medicine and didn,t make her lose weight, just tired and constipated.

Usually tamoxifen does not cause weight loss but everyone is different but she is just so thin...but, I do think her gowns and dresses are exquisite. I don't think she does a good job on FP but her choice of clothing is always stunning but do call attention to her thinness

Funny how she is changing her story about the weight loss and saying she wants to gain weight.

When she was trying to get pregnant she said (on the View) her doctor wanted her to gain 10 pounds. She said because of the nature of her occupation and that she was always in the public eye, she felt gaining weight would jeopardize her career.

I do not believe anything she says. It's pretty obvious she is still lying about the Fashion Police incident. There was a full audience at the taping and some present have tweeted what she is now saying is not true.

There is a long list of side effects with Tamoxifen but weightloss or anything you would think could cause weightloss like nausea and/or vomiting is not a side effect.

Me thinks she's not being honest. In previous interviews she has said she is an eater, loves her food but has a fast metabolism. She said she thought it would catch up to her but so far it hasn't.

Now all of a sudden it's from the Tamoxifen.

lulu2: Yes, I often recall that episode. But, couldn't recall exactly, more or less, what she said. Well said, BTW. .... Always wishing her well, regardless. It isn't easy having a celebrity career, health issues, etc. Sometimes we forget all of the pressure that celebs have. Pressures from this, from that. Coming from just about everywhere/everyone.

I have two friends and a co-worker who have been on Tamoxifen for several years and not one of them is skin and bones thin. Actually one lady says that Tamoxifen caused a 15 pound weight gain. Giuliana is entitled to be any size she wants to be and I'm okay with it, she shouldn't be put in position where she has to make excuses to anyone.

I didn't believe a word she said in that interview with Dr. Oz and if you noticed he didn't affirm any thing she said about the Tamoxifen. It's her body and she's an adult, so if she wants to be super skinny that's her choice. She isn't claiming to be any kind of role model so I say, live and let live.

I always liked her. It's her husband I CAN'T STAND. In the dictionary his picture would be next to the term Alpha Male. Ugh! I used to watch their show. I have seen her on more than one occasion BEG him to hold that baby and he'd joke and ignore her request. He takes the baby everywhere. I never got the idea she didn't WANT to hold and be with the baby she even jokes and calls him a "baby hog".

After everything (it was all on during their show) she went through (almost died) from trying to have a baby, I thought she'd given that up. She said she only had one egg left for the surrogate to use. Maybe they used that up when the last one didn't take.

My guess is her husband being the way he is would rather have a baby or have a surrogate. He'd buy a house and THEN show it to her (in his beloved Chicago).

Anyway, I think she loves her job. She is from Maryland (not far from me). I know of people who knew her growing up. They all say she was a nice person even after she started making a name for herself. She was always kind. She's very family oriented with her parents.

I think she's scary thin too. However, we cannot judge another person when it comes to weight. It is difficult to watch on TV someone so thin. I guess if she maybe wore something at least that wasn't sleeveless, it might help her to look a little heavier. I think in her world thee's no such thing as too thin!!

She did say the surrogate miscarried their last embryo. Also, I have a very dear friend thats been on tamoxifen for 5 years or more, she's very thin. She chose to stop, she didn't like the side effects. Not everyone reacts to drugs the same. I do see her husband as being possessive of Duke..Guililana's been through enough. It would be nice if she could stay at home and enjoy Duke and away from the pressure of Hollywood. They tried so hard to have a baby, hard to understand her drive to continue her career. She has a line on HSN and they own restaurants in Chicago..etc.

I love her clothing line on HSN. I hope that she can have another child, it sounds like something she very much wants to do.

I know that many people were big fans of Joan Rivers and the show Fashion Police. That show existed to be funny and make unkind remarks about how people looked. They all did it, and the more negative the remarks were, the more Joan's sidekicks couldn't stifle their laughter. I think that show was nothing but bullying. Just because they were making fun of movie stars didn't mean the people weren't hurt by the remarks. The more insulting the jokes the more Joan's panel laughed. It was the norm to slam the bodies of the stars, and now Rancic talks about how negative remarks hurt her. With all that black make-up around her eyes and the clothes she wears that emphasis her emaciated body I think she looks like a ghoul. I also did not believe a work she said on Dr. Oz yesterday. The racial remark she made on the show was also disgusting.

I remember years ago when she first appeared on E and I actually gasped when I saw her. So ugly and couldn't understand why she was on TV. Then she grew on me, I like her and Bill but still have a hard time with her looks. Loved their reality show and feel she has been given a bad rap for something that clearly wasn't racist, I am so sick of people playing the race card.

I do not believe her. I think she has an eating disorder and will say and do anything to deflect from it.
